I unreservedly recommend Taralynn McKay for legal representation, especially for healthcare professionals finding themselves in adverse situations with their Boards. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I carried malpractice insurance with license defense coverage my whole career, but on receiving an investigation letter from the Texas Board of Nursing, my insurance wouldn’t disclose anything about the attorney they would provide. I wanted someone with experience in law AND nursing, Board-certified in Administrative law, and with effective knowledge of the quirks of the nursing board. Ms. Mackay has those qualities and did a great job of keeping the Board on track. The investigation was dismissed as she predicted and I’m so glad I hired her instead of using the malpractice potluck attorney.

I am grateful today for attorney Attorney Mackey. I contacted several lawyers for my situation with the Board of Nursing, and they were expensive. After praying and reading her reviews, I chose her. Exactly what she said happened. Her assistant, Ashley, was very helpful and patient with me, and Mrs. Mackey quickly responded. Choose her and avoid these overpriced attorneys. She is the real deal.

Ms. Mackay and Ashley are THE people you want in your corner when dealing with the BON. They are very knowledgeable and easy to speak to. Their communication is quick, excellent, and detailed. My advice is if you are dealing with the BON for any reason, call Ms MacKay first.
