Hands down this is the team you want on your side. I went through several ultra high-end law firms and legendary Texas attorneys only to find them lacking in certain areas, especially in regard to communication. The first thing you will notice about Rick and his team aside from them being friendly, is that he is hyper intelligent and clearly Mensa material. The second thing you will notice is that this entire team will be highly communicative with high attention to detail. The third thing you will notice is that they are extremely organized and modern with their approach. Unlike other high-end law firms, this experience will continue past the point of payment. Many law firms will ghost you or have terrible communication after you have paid them which leads to instant buyers remorse, and is likely to lead to severe psychological stress and depression; this is simply not the case with Rick, instead you will find his team to be extremely salubrious. So instead of worrying about doomsday scenarios you can instead focus on your life and on your work. Another thing is that this team has been working within Travis County for a very long time, since they know everyone you will always have a good measure of where your case stands. I am convinced that this is the best criminal defense team in Austin and probably in all of Texas. Don't gamble with your freedom, it's not worth the risk. Rick is a hungry attorney; he clearly wants to change the game with his thoughtful and calculated approach to running his firm and his relentless approach to defending his clients. It doesn't get any more top-shelf than this.

I couldn't be happier with my experience at Cofer and Connelly. The first time I spoke with Rick Cofer, he took time to show care and compassion for my situation before assuring me there was a positive path forward. Rick clearly explain the legal process and the strategy he would employ. He was honest about the time it would take to resolve my case and never wavered from his steadfast belief the charge would be dropped. During this time, Rick provided updates, responded to my calls, and continued to be a source of support through one of the most difficult times in my life. In the end, his timeframe was right and the charge was dropped. I couldn't imagine going through this journey without both his legal expertise and heartfelt compassion.

I docked my rating one star because of miscommunication due to multiple staff members helping with my case (which was cleared in due time.) They were eager to resolve the issue and very easy to get in touch with when requested. Mr. Cofer went above and beyond to put to rest an outlying issue that the prosecutor didn't want to let go of easily. I would recommend their services if you need to resolve serious personal matters.
