To be frank, the legal system is incredibly re-victimizing for survivors of abuse. Ilana went above and beyond in my case. It was incredibly difficult and mentally taxing. She went for more than I thought we could, and won. She is not the obvious brash bull-dog lawyer, but calculating, intelligent and relentless. I much prefer the genuine kindness and help she gave, than faked ferocity or promises that fall short. Everyone in her office met me with compassion on horribly dark days and stood by me while I persevered throughout the case.

I’ve had the experience of working with Ilana Tanner for over a year, while she worked as the Ad Litem for my family members. She’s smart, diligent, conscientious and does what’s needed for her clients. It’s never easy in custody cases as one party ends up not getting the time or custody they desire. Look for client reviews, not non clients affected by the case. Ask about Ms Tanner’s experience protecting children, ask other attorneys about her reputation, ask CASA and you’ll be extremely happy with what you hear and see with Ms Tanner. We were clients and happy to have found/worked with a brilliant attorney.

This is actually a review for Katie, who works with Alana as a paralegal I believe. She's who you'll talk to before speaking with Alana. I had a few conversations with Katie, at no charge, about my case and her advice was so helpful. I was very confused and scared before I talked with Katie, but she pointed me in the right direction and gave very sound legal counsel that put my anxiety at ease. I was blown away that she offered this advice even though she knew that my case probably wasn't something Alana could help with.
