David was polite, respectful, professional, and helped me with all the many questions I had throughout the legal process. He had a way of keeping me optimistic about the case, while at the same time being realistic about the possible outcomes. With his counsel, we managed to get the charge substantially reduced, and I'd hate to think where I'd be had I decided to save a few bucks going with the "guy across town". Seriously, saved my life. Back in July, I found myself in a terrifying situation in which I was arrested and needed a lawyer. I had a clean record up until this point and had no idea how to proceed. I didn’t know how people chose their lawyer, what they took into consideration when selecting one, or how they prioritized all the different factors that seem so vital before finding the right one. It seemed to me that I’d inevitably be taking a chance no matter what anyway. My method was googling my charge and “Austin lawyers” and just scanning through the little Google description. Without putting any thought, reasoning, or logic into my decision, I just chose to call David White. I wasn’t expecting to do anything but leave a message because it was a Sunday – it was Sunday July 3rd in fact. I was surprised that someone at the office answered and that David White called me back just a couple of hours later. In that brief first conversation, David had me convinced I lucked out with my random choice and I had chosen the right man for the job. He was reassuring, optimistic and enthusiastic, full of energy, encouraging and understanding. David immediately asked me information regarding my background, then he concisely broke everything down for me. He was forthcoming and informative regarding all expectations, outcomes, and processes. He maintained professionalism and gave me a clear picture of the most realistic outcomes yet was eager and determined to push for a dismissal. He warned me of the likeliness, but assured me with sincerity that he would do everything possible. Somehow, David White pulled off his own “best case scenario – and it would be a miracle – “ and somehow got the prosecutor to agree to dismiss the charges before I ever even had to show up to court. Don’t get me wrong, there were conditions and I had to do a lot of legwork and a ton of classes/community services. You will be kept in the loop. You’ll be informed of what to expect and how to prepare. After your first meeting, you will have an idea of what to expect before court, during the court process, and afterward (even with the best possible outcome, he will let you know). You will have representation that not only exceeds adequacy, but that you can trust, rely on, and feel confident with. Knowing I had someone competent, trustworthy, professional, and dependable felt like I was physically taking the weight of the world of my shoulders and transferring 80% of it to someone else. He is available. This is honestly one of the most important things to me. Not only was this my first time dealing with an arrest, I am naturally uptight, anxious, and neurotic. He had the patience and poise to always get back to me quickly. Mainly, you will get results. I got lucky that he was able to dismiss but I was honestly hopeful just for a plea. I was arrested (erroneously) in Austin and wife called and spoke to Jesse after midnight. He was visiting me in jail in less than an hour. He came back and spoke to me a second time before dawn and I was released​ shortly thereafter.
