As my first experience with any type of lawyer this experience has made me understand that dealing with lawyers is terrible. I don't know how good he is as a lawyer because I never got to see anything he could do. He has a paralegal that is completely unprofessional and he backs her up without getting all the facts . We hired Eric to help us with a custody case and after several months of making zero progress we called the office to get some answers because we were getting frustrated. His paralegal didn't like the questions so she hung up the phone on us and refused to take our calls. When we saw him again he blamed us! He didn't even get our side of the story. After that, the relationship was toxic. Even though we had already paid for his service, we had to get away from him. When I went to his office to get my file so that I could hire another lawyer he had a terrible attitude and was totally unprofessional. I would NOT recommend him. Find a lawyer that actually cares and save yourself the trouble. While reading other reviews I noticed that there is a 5 start review by Heather Cantu giving praise to this law firm. She is the paralegal that hung up the phone and refused to answer my calls. Her review states that she was referred by another family law attorney. SHE WORKS FOR ERIC! Lol. I'm not sure that this is ethical but that just solidifies my decision to walk away from these people.

I called at 16 (no joke!) attorneys before I found Eric. They ALL wanted money up front for a consultation and some of them wanted upwards of $350.00. Most of these firms would not even let me speak to the attorney before I gave them money for a consultation! NOT ERIC! Eric not only stayed on the initial call with me for more than an hour but he also gave me some advice that I could use. He did this before he knew I was going to hire him. I knew at that point I wanted Eric as my attorney and I'm glad that I hired him and his team! I felt like he was on my side the whole time with very personal service. I would highly recommend Eric if you want someone that will go to bat for you in court and win!

I was looking for a lawyer that would support father rights because my child was in a bad situation at the time. I was having a hard time finding a lawyer of that nature until I came across Eric Willie. We made an appointment and he helped me get everything I needed to in line and before you know it I was getting to have visitation with my child. As time progressed and things change in my life we realized I needed help to get my child in a better place. I called upon Mr Willie once again and he was available at my call ( that includes a few late night calls for help and advice). Long story short, I was able to get custody of my child and I could not have done this without Mr Willie and his team. Very professional and upfront and honest with everyone. If you are in a situation similar to mine then I would highly recommend Eric and his team. They are amongst the best I have found and affordable as well.

When looking at lawyers to handle my divorce case, one thing I noticed was many would have you deal with the less experienced staff instead of the themselves. This is not the case with Mr Willie. I got very personal attention, which was very nice. He clearly has a lot of experience and is very familiar with working divorce cases in both Travis and Hays counties. He is now handling my estate planning. Highly recommended.
