Gaining custody of a grandchild is not something many foresee and the ground is unchartered territory for many. Eric Willie and his staff walked alongside us for three years and made a difficult process easier to digest. He kept the focus on the child and what was best for her and made sure the outcome benefited the child. There are not enough words to thank Eric Willie and his staff but our grandchild is safe and in our care thanks to him.

Child Custody Case. This was the most scared I have ever been the day I was severed paper to take my son away. After some looking online I found Eric Willie. From the first phone call I felt better. They took time to calm me down and talk to me to see if they could even help. They worked hard to get me an appointment the next day. From the time I walked in the office I was feeling better. Everyone was as nice a can be. Eric was listen to everything and was honest with me. No sugar coating told me was I could expect and he was right in everything he said. Eric was always there to answer any question i had. He was fast to respond to emails and phone calls. I was very happy with the service I got with case. Eric Willie is well regarded and came highly recomended. It was very important to me during my divorce to have an attorney that not only understood the multitude and complexities of my situation, but also understood the love that i have for my daughter. My divorce was a very stressful experience which lasted 9 months due to contested custody of my two boys. We recently finalized it in a successful Mediation on Nov 4, 2016. I interviewed many attorneys when choosing who I was going to use for my child custody case, Mr. Willie stood far above the crowd in many ways. Most importantly he had confidence in me and my case! The short version is that Mr. Willie won my case, he exceeded my expectation and did so with ease. He was fair in price and always gave me time to talk. I was fighting to be able to move to the Dallas area with my new husband so that we could both continue our education and I was also petitioning the court for child support. Throughout the entire process Mr. Willie was professional, kind and always on time. He responded to my emails very quickly and when the email was complicated he always called me to make sure I understood every detail. In our private meetings he was very laid back and calm. In court is where he really shines. In my opinion there was no comparison to the caliber of attorney in that courtroom even though the other attorney was a very highly rated Austin area attorney. I was VERY glad that Mr. Willie was on MY side and not the opposing party's. When reading reviews I was a little skeptical of Mr. Willie due to a few bad reviews but after meeting with him I decided to give him a shot. And I am SO glad that I did. Mr. Willie is a straight-shooter, he is not going to sugar coat things just to make you feel good. He is going to be honest with you but he is also going to fight for you. I do not understand the low ratings at all as Mr. Willie did everything I asked for and more. I will tell you that he is not the cheapest attorney in Austin but he is one of the best and in my opinion I got more than what I paid for. If you are hiring a family law attorney then it is most likely a very stressful and emotional time, I guarantee you that Mr. Willie will make the process go as smoothly as possible. Eric was very knowledgeable, experienced, and empathic. He seemed to genuinely care about helping me navigate what could have been a very complicated and emotional divorce that included assets in 2 different states, as well as child custody issues. He always had my and my children's best interests at heart and I can't thank him enough for his help.

Over the past 2 years there have been many things I have disliked about the whole process of getting divorced... dealing with my legal team was not one of them Eric and Jessica have been rock solid for everything!!! About fifteen years ago, my companion and I went to Eric Willie for assistance in drawing up our wills. He came highly recommended by friends whom we trusted and we could not have been more pleased with the result. Mr. Willie was obviously very experienced in family law and took plenty of time to get to know us and our needs and concerns. His staff was professional and efficient as well as being friendly and resourceful. And his fee was extremely reasonable. When it became possible for us to marry last year, my companion and I returned to Eric, now in an even more convenient office very near our home in South Austin, for advice on updating our wills.
