I didn't know this, but it was only the second time I worked with a divorce lawyer that I realized what I was missing out on on the first go-round. I thought all divorce attorneys were slimy, greedy, money-hungry liars and shysters ready to cut you loose or stab you in the back after they bleed you dry. To be sure, that's true of most of them. But I got a really really good feeling about Christian after talking to her on the phone and I hired her immediately after we sat down together. Christian and her team are dedicated, consummate professionals and they really, really know the law and how to explain it. I can't over-state this: they understand what the law is, and how to get your goals met better than the other attorneys' offices I have spoken to or dealt with. Most importantly -- they won't lie to you about what's possible and then pull the rug out from under you later. I think they may know the judges, or they at least know what the judges want and what they can get from them better than other offices. They play it straight, they know how to get things done and guide you through the process and make a complicated thing seem easier than other attorneys do. Their rates are fair - probably about average, depending on complexity - but the service is vastly better. These are real human beings with integrity: true professionals that will fight hard for you and make it look easy at the same time. I strongly recommend working with this firm.

∞ / 5 stars If you're dealing with a difficult custody situation, I cannot recommend Smith Family Law any higher. Even if you aren't, you will not regret letting them work on your case. I do not have the vocabulary to articulate how deeply grateful I am to Collin White. He took what appeared to me to be an impossible situation, flipped it on its head, and enabled the best possible scenario for my daughter. Collin is insanely intelligent. Collin conducted himself with the highest degree of professionalism and grace while dealing with an aggressively confrontational opposing party. Nikki Chapa was also amazing! She assisted Collin late in our case, but her work help shift the tide immensely. They are both superb litigators.

Collin was the second attorney I worked with after my first left for a new role. The transition was smooth and both were great to work with through my divorce. The entire process was easily explained and handled quickly and I would recommend this firm to anyone in a similar situation.

Christian is not only intelligent, but I would go as far as brilliant. She destroyed the opposing counsel. I thought for sure we were dealing with a 60/40 case. Christian got me a 55/45 case. She is incredibly busy, but Holly her paralegal always gets back to you. Holly is amazing! She is super nice and always calls you back. Nothing is ever perfect in a divorce and it is incredibly stressful. Holly is always there. Christian is about to give birth and her first priority is taking care of her clients.
