Im very happy with Mat Rueda, he really help me with my divorce, he had the time to speak with me at any time and if he will miss any of my call he will return them as soon as possible. Very good lawyer a really recommend him. He will really get you divorce as soon as possible.

I found Mat through Google and immediately looked at his reviews. I called to set up an appointment and he was very detailed and explained the process. We worked together for months and each time he made everything stress free for me. I had to do absolutely nothing throughout the process, which is exactly what I was looking for since I’m pretty busy as is. Mat is such a straight foward guy and will not BS you just to take your money. He will get straight to the point. I can’t say enough things about Mat. Thank you so much Mat! 100% recommend.

My experience of working with Mat has been nothing short of amazing. Mat is highly responsive (not easy to find in this industry) and is kind. He is respectful and is truly a model for how the legal industry should treat their clients. Mat is straight forward and he delivered exactly as promised. Mat battled 1.5hrs with an Attorney General representative and my Ex's Attorney. I provided 7yrs worth of extra payments (outside CS) to my Ex via Zelle and had documentation for all of it, so Mat could debate hard, and the extra efforts paid off. A credit was offered, which counted and decreased my CS across what is left for the 1.5yrs of the order. What a great job Mat did today, and forever in gratitude to this professional. In regards to the reviews, I guess to each their own. Working with Mat was kind of like a bait and switch situation for me during a child support and custody case. I was inexperienced and had no clue in how these proceedings worked and I feel he definitely used that lack of knowledge to his advantage. I took out a loan to pay for his services based on initial conversations of what he could accomplish, during a time I was financially struggling to make ends meet. The easiest $4500 he made, given he did the bare minimum which explains why he charges a flat fee. There was consultation prior to hiring him but no initiation meeting set up after and at anytime during to discuss my wants in regards to the best interest of my child. Attempts for a zoom meeting were shot down and he always opted for a phone call instead (a total of two maybe three throughout the whole process). Trying to get clear clarification from him on what was going to happen or what steps he was going to take prior to hearings always ended up in conflict, because he listened to respond rather than to understand and I was always left feeling unsure and scared. During what was supposed to be my temporary orders hearing he blatantly dismissed my concerns and wants, did nothing of what he said he was going to do initially and put a focus on certain items that were least on my priority list. None of the discussions with the father were done in the same room with me and he set up arrangements with just the father rather than the both of us. He made it seem as though going before a judge if I didn’t agree to what he had set up would make matters worse for me and thus I felt coerced to sign a final order. Afterwards, once able to read the order with a clear head, no distractions and without complications with docusign I realized that I was not ok with the order and expressed that to him. He then said I could appeal it and I would have to find new counsel for a Denovo hearing knowing I didn’t have the money to do so. All that to say, it’s good to talk to a lawyer to know your rights and what can be done but in this case I would have been better off representing myself.
