Derek has been an exceptional resource during this very difficult time of my life. I started out with another attorney and switched to Derek. All of his staff have gone above and beyond to help me get a divorce and protect my son. He and his team have been great at communicating along the way and keeping me in the loop, especially when my ex-husband's attorney was/is playing games. I could not recommend Derek more, while divorce isn't fun, I couldn't image having anyone else in my corner through this.

I can't say enough about Mr Van Gilder and his entire Law Office. I was in need of a Probate Will Lawyer in a Very Complex Case. Mr. Van Gilder and the entire Van Gilder law office are Professional, Knowledgeable and Experienced in Estates, Life Estates and Will Probates. My case was not in any way an Easy Case. I can't give a high enough rating for Mr. Van Gilder and his entire Law Office.

Mr. Van Gilder did an outstanding job representing me. My case involved the disbursement of the proceeds in the sale of a property outlined in my divorce decree. The property sold thirteen years after the divorce. I would highly recommend Mr. Van Gilder in divorce cases, especially where there is a dispute over property. He won my case for me!

Mr. Van Gilder was very well prepared for our custody hearing, prepared us well on the process, and the entire process went smoothly. All paperwork was completed well in advance and we came home with our son. I would definitely hire Mr. Van Gilder again.

Mr. Van Gilder and Mr. Rogers were wonderful they were able to help me claim some access funds from the county from the sale of my property due of back taxes. They charged a very reasonable fee. I no longer live in Bastrop, and Mr. Rogers met with me at my work place which really helped. The entire office was very friendly, helpful and supportive. I would highly recommend the Law Office of Derek Van Gilder to any who needs help.

When my brother passed away, I knew we needed some legal help to resolve his affairs, especially since we were from out of state. I made a list of potential lawyers from the phone book, then happened to recognize Derek's office sign as I walked down Main Street towards a restaurant. We stopped in, and Derek stopped what he was doing and gave us over an hour's advice on how to proceed in the most expedient and cost effective way. The next day he spent another hour with us. He gave us excellent advice that allowed us to fully administer the estate with just one trip to Texas. Over the next few weeks he was always quick to followup with any emailed questions or phone calls. He also recommended an excellent realtor to handle selling the property. His staff, Holley and Tammie were also excellent to deal with. I would definitely recommend Derek's office for any estate issues.

I would HIGHLY recommend Derek Van Gilder. He just represented me in a divorce case and was nothing but professional the entire time. His knowledge and expertise were proven in court. Not only that but his entire staff was extremely helpful and courteous. I will recommend Mr. Van Gilder to anybody that needs legal help. I hope to never need legal counsel again but if I do, Derek Van Gilder is who I would hire from here on out.

Derek Van Gilder helped us set up our business. He has provided us with the correct information so that we could benifit the most from our s-corp, and We have! Since then he has handled several issues. I always know I can call him and he will help me or advise me on the whatever legal questions I have.
