ALP Law Firm was very knowledgeable and helpful in my divorce case. Although it was a little complicated, they helped explain things to me and put me at ease. The lawyers are great and I highly recommend this firm.

My wife and I were referred to Allecia Lindsey-Pottinger (ALP) Law Firm through our MetLife insurance policy. We are looking for legal advice because my cousin-in-law is dying of cancer in a third-world country and would like us to take care of her son in the U.S. when she passes. We scheduled an appointment last week and were promised free advice from ALP even though we would expect the insurance to cover at least some amount of the consult. Instead, ALP waited until 15 minutes before the conference to let us know that they were "phasing out"...blah, blah, blah. Meanwhile my cousin-in-law's time is quickly passing as well as our ability to find legal counsel regarding our ability to care for her 13 year old, soon to be orphaned, son. It would've been welcomed for ALP to tell us beforehand that they wouldn't take our case because the money from insurance isn't good enough instead of leading us on to think we might have found some needed help.

Alecia was very professional and exercised empathy to me, which gave me hope in case litigation has to be exercised!! Her staff was professional and empathetic with me also!

After paying the retainer fee, had a hard time getting in touch with this lawyer. I called her office regarding questions I had but received voicemails. I had to leave work and catch her at her office to speak with her because she would never return my calls. During mediation she did not help me at all. She didn't even tell me when the last hearing was scheduled but met with the other attorney and her client. This lawyer did not help me with my case.

They don’t deserve a star! the beginning of my case it seems they were having trouble keeping attorneys. My attorney switched three different attorneys within this firm (im assuming New hires due to staffing issues) . The attorney missed Court dates, they say they filed paperwork that was never filed. If it was not for mediation I would’ve received nothing. in mediation my mediation my attorney either left the meeting to handle other cases Mostly didn’t participate I had attorney representing me but truly I was representing myself in mediation. When the mediation paperwork was drawn up things were left out and not correct because she didn’t stay in the room she didn’t even understand what happened in mediation completely so therefore my order was not written correctly , I guess that’s my fault because I trusted my lawyer to do her job . In court my attorney showed up in a wrinkle suit with no paperwork or nothing to represent me when I gave them all the information needed. It’s so much more but this was a horrible experience with something so important. Allecia Pottinger it’s not a woman of her word don’t trust her. If you want someone that cares do not hire Alp law firm.

She was very detailed about the process of the divorce. She was able to finalize my divorce with what I desired as a result.

I had an extremely complicated custody case. When other attorneys tell me I had no hope, Allecia Lindsey-Pottinger said I did have a chance to correct the wrong done to myself and my child. A year and a half before hiring Mrs. Pottinger, I went through a modification of custody in which my prior attorney MADE THINGS WORSE. I went from having full custody to . My child was paying the price for sloppy work done. I had to find a way to get my child out of an abusive situation. Before Allecia took on the case, CPS was called and CPS told me I had to get an attorney if I wanted change. Even though I had multiple videos and recordings of my child suffering. When I found Mrs. Pottinger I was truly at my wits end. All the attorneys I spoke to before said I did not have a chance, but Allecia said there was a way to make things right. She took the time to walk me though the entire process from start to finish. Allecia was a gentle spirt who helped me stay focused while the other party used scare tactics on me before we got to court. Mrs. Pottinger also gave me sound legal advice on how to best navigate the parts of my case I was unsure about. She was also very timely in her responses in which I truly appreciated. When it came down to the trial, Allecia turned up the heat and went against a nasty bully in the court room. Not only did she win against a fellow attorney, she won against an attorney who taught law! HOW AMAZING! In my eyes, Allecia is a walking Angel on this Earth. I will forever hold a special place in my heart for her. Thank you for giving me the child I have worked so hard to take care of since the day he was born. Thank you for the long nights. Thank you for having your A game all the time for me, I truly appreciate you. You are truly a miracle worker. I will never have enough thank you's to fulfill the gratitude I have in my heart towards you...

Saw that I was in a bad situation. MRS. Pottinger did everything in her power to help me with my divorce and custody with my son. And rightfully so my divorce was granted and I was awarded full custody of my son. Everyone has a story but Mrs. Pottinger help me tell mine.

Mrs. Pottinger is a very honest attorney. My case in TX had been passed through several different courts for action. I tried several times to petition the courts to honor their code and remain steadfast to their laws as it pertained to custody of my children. Each time the court(s) would always pass the case the following month. Eventually they would claim that they no longer had jurisdiction as my ex-spouse moved several times, but they would not hold her in contempt. Mrs. Pottinger's savviness and clear understanding of the law allowed me to conserve both time and money. She didn't promise me anything nor did she lead me to believe the courts would rule in favor of truth. Each time they erred, she would position me to change direction by exercising patience and facts to enable me with the necessary legal leverage to get some action taken. Previously to Mrs. Pottinger I had several attorneys, who simply took my money. They didn't attempt to try and fight my case. The only time I heard from them was when my retainer was depleted, and if I came behind, which steps were needed to take immediate action to bring my account current.
