Whether he represents you for free or paid I would NEVER use him for anything ever again. He lost my case and did not even try. Seems as though he wanted the case to be lost so that I would hire him. He kept telling me after the case was closed, " You could appeal and I could represent you, you would just need to pay the retaining fee before I do anymore work". He seems to be doing things as long as it benefits him. You go to him for advice and he will send you to his paralegal or never answers your emails, calls or text messages. Save your money, case and time!

Hands-down, the worst attorney that I’ve ever dealt with. Steven was assigned to me during a CPS case, he was consistently trying to get me to appeal the case just to pay him instead of him fighting in the court at the time. There were so many mistakes made in my case that I’ve had to spend upwards of $10,000 to correct Mr. Debye’s errors. Additionally, I found mistakes that even a rookie attorney should’ve found and when I did ask for his assistance, he offered to help for $1200 not until I continue to go to the court did he attempt to help! I would not recommend Stephen free or retained. He is more of a headache than he'll help. He has a horrible attitude and does not respect his clients. We had to wait hours for Stephen to let the delivery guy in for his new TV, the entire court, waiting for him. After consulting other lawyers I learned he has reputation for this behavior.

The only thing he did was take my money. Years after the case I’m getting contacted by him because he screwed something up and now may have to go back into court to finish up what he screwed up in the first place including losing my case. This guy is a joke. Don’t waste your money. If you hire him that’s what’ll happen. Positive reviews I don’t believe and are probably fake.

Had him for my cps case. Felt that he looked down on me and judged me.. when I would try and speak with him to ask him for advice he in not so many words said to give my rights up so he could move on to the next client or victim.. not worth the headache..

This guy is a liar, con artist and a disgrace, might look educated but he is more of an illiterate (Deadbeat). Lied to me, took my money and continue lying. Save your money and get a better lawyer

Stephen is EXACTLY what you want and need in a lawyer for court!!! He is feisty and definitely gets it done in court!!! I hired him for my divorce and I would not ever use another lawyer now!!!

Stephen and i were introduced by friends while i was going through the court process with my children. He offered his services to me and offered them at a very fair price( I don't think he's going to make a penny and i drive him a little batty) Even if you can't pay much Stephen will work with you, he's a great lawyer and a great person! I hired Stephen Debye as my divorce attorney. He was knowledgeable and aggressive. He was loyal and kind to me during the hardest time in my life. I'd much rather have him on my side than against me. I do no not regret hiring him and would recommend him!

Stephen helped us with a civil case, and was the best he was very flexible and guided us through the right steps to prove we were right. He answered all of our questions and was fair with everything.... This law firm including their stair helped us immensely and we can thank them enogh!... Thank you stephen.

Best attorney I've ever had. He keeps his word and gives all the possibilities and let's you decide. Even when a firm he had previously worked for billed me additional charges; Mr Debye kept his word on the fees and I had to pay no more than what his estimate was. A real stand up lawyer and good man. Thank you for your help!!!
