Recently had to fire this lawyer and go somewhere else. Do NOT hire her for family law. She didn't provide ANY of the evidence I gave to her which could have really helped me out. Paid for services that she never did. I didn't want to believe the bad reviews but I really should have trusted my gut on this one. Her phone was cut off after I hired her so communication was very little to none. And in court she was on her phone on Facebook! SHOWED UP TO COURT IN SWEATS. Had a nasty attitude. It's a long list but save your money. Very unprofessional and definitely doesn't know what she's doing.

Took the money and NEVER did ANYTHING!! DO NOT HIRE!! All talk but no action

Not sure where to start. This was the worst experience I've had. I hired Mrs. Darrett to represent for Divorce. The consultation was awesome. The first couple times she was aggressive and I was proud to have her as an attorney. Fast forward to when it was really time to fight. Mrs. Darrett allowed his attorney walk all over us. The documents was unprofessional. I was not counsel on how to handle certain situations. I had to reach out to a different attorney to really understand the full process. MRS. DARRETT treats her clients as if they been through the divorce before and should already know the answers. Wrong. I should have followed my first mind and continued with firing her. The settlement day. I was rushed in settlement bc she was having a baby. Nothing about the settlement made sense. I kept asking her if this is a good idea but in the back of head no this does not sound good. I can go on and on but let's say I walked away the divorce with Paying my x-spouse over $100k Giving up my kids for the summer which was not fully explained in the settlement that I was not really counseled in. My middle name changed to Lanace. Like what? The divorce decree which I signed was not what the judge signed Still on my x spouse bank account Child support is messed up On and on... I've been trying to call to get at least get my middle straighten out but no response to call, text or emails. I guess she has closed my account.

I already called left a message I'm getting married on Sept 30 2023 but I need my divorce decree asap I can't get remarried without proof of my divorce decree paper. It's been 2 yrs! I called the courts they said you wasn't turning in the paperwork that was assigned all you have to do is get signed by the judge and give it to me.

Normally, I would not leave a review. I’ve been so upset these past few weeks. I feel is necessary to save the next person. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT hire her for “family law”. Our initial consultation went well. I pretty much had a open/close case. She told me about her fees up front. I paid for my filing fees and extra fees to get witness subpoenaed. I knew I should’ve been worried when I continuously asked her if the witnesses were served and it was either no reply or yes they have. With no confirmation if she even spoke with them about the current situation I drove 6hrs total to get a police report that would have helped my case. She didn’t use it. She DID NOT use any of the witnesses I paid $500 for her to subpoena. They didn’t even show up. She had plenty of time because the trial was rescheduled twice. DID NOT use any of the evidence I provided for her. DID NOT even use the affidavit of the other party allegations to prove that they were lying. The affidavit said one thing, they were testifying saying another. She literally was asking me what question I want her to ask. Like excuse me, aren’t you the lawyer?! Was NOT aggressive what’s so ever. I would not recommend Her main excuse was the witnesses (even an EXPERG witness) wouldn’t haven’t helped because the judges mind was already made up. Like, that’s why we have evidence! She didn’t even try!! Literally asked me one question during the whole hearings Oh & last but not least. I called some of the witnesses I paid to get subpoena all to find out she didn’t even subpoena the most relevant/important of them all!!! I tell her about it , and she says “I was going to give your money back” … what? When? What if I had never reached out to the witness? Horrible and had the audacity to say she charged $2500 for appeal! There would be no need for an appeal if you would’ve done your job! The other party had no witnesses, no evidence just a testimony Save your money & look around. I literally could cry right now. I had a better chance representing myself. Money I didn’t have just gone.

Always been the best lawyer experience, she knows what she is doing and as a young single mom makes me feel very secure. Wouldn’t want any other lawyer.

The process is taking longer than expected but I'm hopeful it's worth it in the end. The communication could be better through the proecess but fingers crossed ill update as the process continues. Update: 7/14/23 It was definitely not worth it in the end because of this attorneys poor communication and failure to clarify I'm now forced to go back to court to handle cases she supposedly handled and they're saying issuing a warrant in August and the hold on my license remains all this over bad communication and all she could say was "My apologies if you misunderstood" WHAT A JOKE! Total waste of time and money and I will never go to her again please you guys save your money and go somewhere else she not worth your hard earn income just take care of it on your own you'd be better off honestly. I absolutely do not recommend her for Traffic citations her condescending attitude and poor communication throughout this whole process has been the only thing consistent.

THIS ATTORNEY IS TRASH. SHE NEVER ANSWERS OR RESPONDS HER BUILDING SECURITY SAYS SHE IS NEVER IN THE OFFICE SHE DOESNT RETURN PHONE CALLS OR FOLLOW UP WITH YOU LIKE SHE CLAIMS SHE WILL AND MEANWHILE I'M SITTING HERE WAITING FOR A SERVICE I PAID MY HARD EARNED MONEY THAT SHE OBVIOUSLY CAN'T PROVIDE. I SPOKE TO HER AND ASKED QUESTIONS SHE GOT AN ATTITUDE AND IF YOU GET AN ATTITUDE BACK SHE'LL PROBABLY DO SOMETHING SPITEFUL LIKE INTENTIONALLY IGNORE YOU SMH... I'm disgusted at the lack of professionalism and horrible communication this woman displays CONSTANTLY. This is why I go to the other people because my own are SORRY. I don't think periodic communication is too much to ask of someone you PAY to do THEIR JOB. I will never go to her EVER again and I for damn sure won't refer anyone she has such TERRIBLE customer service!
