Nothing against the Setzer team as I do like them on a person basis. Initially, there was documentation error, which I attempted to correct before our hearing. Unfortunately that error manifested itself in the court hearing and has left me in a more stressful situation. $3500 later, I'm looking for additional legal guidance elsewhere. Best of luck to everyone and their family situation.

I highly recommend Jill Setzer Law Firm! The first attorney I ever had to hire and so glad I hired her to represent my case. Professional, very honest, upfront and reasonable! As with any court case emotions and drama can over run the tone of a case and Jill kept it very professional and to the point. Please don’t make the mistake and overlook this gal! Read before you pay them. I used this firm and regret everything about it. Not only did they promise things they did not do but helped me lose everything I own. I paid them more than 4K and took all the debt on top of that. When I asked why I did not get what I was promised Johns wife screamed at me and said I should have f...... taken it when I left. Yea this is the person I hired. Not even the other council. Here is an overview of my experience Made promises they couldn’t keep Used a buddy to do mediation which benefited the other council Zero urgency Lack of follow up Disrespectful when talking to me They actually told me I have to pay to get rid of my spouse. That’s the price of being happy. Only when they really screwed up they tried to get me divorced quickly so I didn’t come after them. This law firm should not represent anyone. Read the other negative reviews. They are more accurate than the positive from their buddy system. Be very afraid of the outcome if you choose this tag team of misfits.

Jill and John were extremely knowledgeable and easy to deal with. They gave me practical and logical legal advice about my divorce and custody issue. Divorce is an extremely difficult thing but their ability to consult legally but also relate on a human level made the process as easy as it could be considering.

"This was the 1st time in my life that I had to ever hire a lawyer. I am a Disabled Combat Veteren and It hurts to be treated this way. I thought that Jill was very knowledgeable in what she was saying, however she went behind my back trying to set up a proposal with my wifes lawyer. When I did not agree with Jill, which is my God given right she then withdrew from the case knowingly I have court Tuesday. She sent an Email on june 22nd stating that she refunded my money and sent and invoice which money was not refunded. Then I waited an additional 2 days I sent another email and her husband John Responds back stating they had a "software" issue. And the money would be refunded once again". Here it is Monday and no money and no lawyer. I am extremely disgusted How I have been treated. You simply do not treat people this way.
