By far one of the best attorneys I have ever had. He saved my daughter’s life. He listened and was very compassionate. It’s extremely difficult to find the right attorney who listens and actually shows compassion to their clients. After my first consultation with him I was sold & he was ready to work! We fought for full custody. It was granted. Mr. Hendrex & his legal team was EXCELLENT and worked extremely DILIGENT on our case. I couldn’t be more delighted. We were honored to be his clients just before he retired this year, after serving over a little over 30 years in the legal industry. When our case was done. My daughter & I showed our gratitude & sent our best regards. We will never forget him, he changed our lives only for the better. Mr. Hendrex is the most professional attorney in town. He is so respectful, courteous and very calming during one of the most difficult times of my life. He always returned my calls and emails timely and never made me feel rushed during our meetings or telephone conferences. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. I appreciate everything he did to make sure I wasn't taken advantage of. And to top off my wonderful experience, his staff is absolutely amazing.

James is fantastic. He fights for what is right and also very fair. He made me feel comfortable in trusting him from day 1. He is quick to respond to any questions/ concerns you may have and is as honest as lawyers can come. We hired Mr. Hendrex and was completely shocked by this whole process. First of all, he kept thinking I was someone else, not just on one occasion but several. A few times, he would go in to details about what I should do and it wasn't until a few minutes later that I realized he thought I was someone else. He made it sound like he was there to fight for me and I've never been so disappointed for allowing myself to listen to his nonsense. We assumed he was providing the best advice, I mean, he did have a law degree. On at least 3 occasions, they had trouble finding the paperwork and I had to wait for them to find it. The end result was him telling us that the judge is going to want us to "attempt" a mediation with the other parent. During mediation is when it started getting hairy. His exact words to me were "It's highly unlikely that you will ever get custody as a father in the state of Texas. You should take as much as you can get now because if it goes in front of a judge, you may not get as much". Then the mediator started his intimidation tactics. We did not want to agree to the terms that the mother was offering so we told them it was unacceptable. The mediator told us, "Then why are you even here, it's just wasting my time". Come to find out (from our current attorney), we could have gotten custody because she had kidnapped our daughter with intention of keeping her away until 90 days passed so she could file for divorce and custody in her county (over 100 miles away). And we had undeniable proof of her intentions. Never would I hire this attorney again. My daughter is 5 years old and the mother is non-compliant on at least 5 things listed on the court orders and I'm still trying to get custody. I would have taken action but I was told by my current attorney that no attorney in town would take my case if I ever said anything.

Called him on a Wednesday for an immediate consolation , he responded within a day & made me feel very comfortable about my case & now I feel as if I have nothing to worry about!!! I hired him

I was impressed with Mr. Hendrex. I consulted 4 attorneys before I met Mr. Hendrex. After my consultation with Mr. Hendrex, I was sold. He listened to what I have to say and did not rush me, even though he had a pending trial to go to. He was compassionate and stated he does not like it when an injustice has been done to someone. His expertise is family law and is very knowledgeable of the the law. His rates are very reasonable. He's forthright and honest. I would recommend Mr. Hendrex as your first choice. You will not be dissapointed.

Mr. Hendrex is very professional. He has a no nonsense attitude. I was being accused of physical abuse. My ex also claimed I was an alcoholic and that my son feared for his life. He was turning 15 and I was told I didn't have a say in any visitation because he was old enough to make his own decisions. Wrong! I now have my son with expanded visits. Which turned out great for our family. My son is required to go to counseling and we both have joint conservatorship. Mr. Hendrex recognized my son was playing both of his parents against each other. He was AWESOME!

Mr. Hendrex is such an amazing attorney! He did everything he said he was going to do and more! I never had to go between people to get to him. He always called me back and was always available! He knows what he is doing and will fight for you! By far the best choice for me and my kids!!

I needed a family law lawyer asap. Mr. Hendrex answered the phone after hours on Thursday night at 7pm. He listened to my case, my needs and concerns without rushing me or cutting me off. He scheduled a meeting at 7am the very next morning. He was the ONLY lawyer out of 10 that I called that even answered the phone and made himself available. He is very knowledgeable and will not sugar coat the issue or lead you on. He is a go getter and is not afraid of confrontation. He is a sincere man and he will not let you down. Mr. Hendrex does not overcharge either. He did my case for a quote of $1000, when everyone else quoted me at $2500-5000!!! Not only was he there from the start, but he went the additional mile to call me in between times just to check on me and to see if there were any additional needs. He made me feel important and of high priority!! Do not waste your money somewhere else!!! You are going to wish you hired Mr. Hendrex.
