This is for John Kappel and the entire team; Incredible work. I went through a divorce thinking simplistic and easy (2020). It became complex. I hired a different attorney from an online found firm, ended firing her, greatest choice made, after I found and hired John Kappel. He made this ongoing case of three and a half years to come to an end with the best outcome, more than I believed to come true. Full sole custody (rights signed by “father”), and a satisfactory judgement, including child support arrearage, with interest. This all signed by attorneys and judge, after John diligently and precisely worked on. He is intelligent and an amazing attorney.

Very friendly and empathetic, from the front receptionist to the attorney I chose! Patrick took the time at consultation, to get to know the circumstances and was very caring! Unfortunately as with most big law firms, their accounting dept. was somewhat confusing&off! Which I ended up with more fees than I expected, being billed to me. However, for the kind of care and genuine interest from Patrick Babb, at least we got some resolution! Which is a lot more than I can say for the previous atty at a different firm, Herrin law, who has yet to refund the money and additional expenses caused, for the damage and the mess, by attorney/owner, Daniel Herrin! (which he admitted to, in an email as well!) Mr. Babb by checking on me afterwards, when we went through the flooding in Houston, further proved his true and genuine care for his client&was appreciated a lot! That seems RARE nowadays and I for one appreciate his sense of humanity and kindness, specially in his field of work!:)🙄😎

We originally retained Gardner Haas as litigation counsel after Plaintiff rejected our offer of a mutual walk away and filed suit. As the case progressed, it became crystal clear that the law firm for the company on the other side was completely outmatched by Gardner Haas. The end result is a settlement that dismissed their suit (with zero payment on our part) and included a significant payment to us on our countersuit. At all times during the course of the litigation, Gardner Haas had a clear strategy and a solid grasp of the facts and the law. They were easy to reach, communicated clearly, and were generally easy to work with. Most importantly, at all times, our interests truly came first (for example, they were sensitive to reputational considerations that were important to us).
