I worked with Kris Hayes when I was in private practice for many years, either as opposing counsel, an amicus on termination cases, or as a mediator. In every role she was professional, hard-working, responsive, and tough yet compassionate. I respected her so much that when I left private practice to return to the District Attorney’s office, I referred my clients to her, especially my high-conflict custody cases. She did not disappoint, and I am lucky to be able to continue working with her on CPS cases now.

Kris and Emory have helped me tremendously in my divorce after I had been a stay-at-home-mom for a significant time. My divorce ended up being contentious and I needed strong representation to protect myself and my children. Balekian-Hayes were able to provide that and I am endlessly grateful for their efforts.

Kris is a very knowledgeable family lawyer, with incredible insight and years of hands-on experience to back it up. She is equally as tough and confident as she is caring and sympathetic, which strikes a very critical balance as clients are often dealing with difficult and stressful situations. She rises to the occasion during hearings and key times during the case, but does a good job of not overbilling and creating extra work just because. And as a parent herself, she just gets it. I contacted this law firm in 2020 regarding Lancaster, Texas EMT causing my husband 6 staples in his head because they didn’t secure him on the stretcher. I was very patient with them returning my call for an update only to find out the judge dismissed the case saying in the city of Lancaster they’re allowed to drop someone without them being sued. It took them 4yrs to find out this is a law? Now I’m asking for the report showing it was dismissed and Krisi called me herself to schedule an appointment but somehow it was never put on her calendar. I had to call back and ask for another meeting which is March 13th. I will decide afterwards to pursue a lawsuit against this unprofessional firm.
