What Stephen did for my brother and the outcome he received in his case felt like it was out of a movie. It is a testament to whom Stephen is. There are no words to express what Stephen did for my brother but a few words come to mind. CARING - From the day I met Stephen and throughout all our meetings, I never once felt like he didn't care for my brother's well-being and the case. He truly wanted what was best for my brother and was going to do whatever it takes to get the best possible outcome with the evidence he had. He did that and MORE! To note, we initially got a consultation with a previous lawyer and he represented my brother during a meeting with law enforcement and was complete trash. I never felt like he cared and didn't take notes during that meeting (Stephen asked). I'm so glad Stephen was recommended by a friend. KNOWLEDABLE - Stephen knows his stuff. He knows the federal guidelines, point system, etc... and how that would apply to my brother's case. Every case is different depending on the evidence but he was on point where my brother would fall under. Stephen's research and knowledge of previous court cases, the criminal history of other defendants, and the ability to combine that with my brother's work/no criminal history in a report to my brother's benefit was an awesome read. I'm leaving out a lot but there was no doubt in our minds that Stephen knew what he was doing. When Stephen gives you suggestions on what you can do outside the case to help, YOU SHOULD DO IT! PROFESSIONAL - If my brother and I had any questions, Stephen was available - text or phone call. He does not sugar-coat anything or tell you what you want to hear. There are more words to describe Stephen and I can go on and on but there's nothing but appreciation and gratitude for the work he did. It was a blessing to have him as our lawyer. As for the results and outcome my brother received, I'm just speechless. During my brother's sentencing, it wasn't only his case that was being seen by the judge but other defendants with their lawyers were there to get their outcomes also. The other defendants' and lawyer's statement to the judge was NIGHT and DAY compared to Stephen and my brothers. Stephen had my brother prepared! The statement from Stephen to the judge was short of amazing. Combining my brother and Stephen's statements, Stephen's report, and my brother following through on Stephen's suggestion outside the case to show he has learned his lesson and giving back to the community, gave him a miracle outcome. My brother in my opinion should have gotten jail time and per the judge "giving you a second chance". According to Stephen, where he fell on the federal sentencing guidelines/prosecutors recommendation and he got probation is UNHEARD of. My brother truly got a second chance thanks to Stephen! Highly recommend him!
