I found them strictly due to Google rating. Decided to try them out. Very professional. All very friendly. I was clueless what I was doing in my family matter and they helped me regain ground I had lost on my case; just through the consultation. I haven't "hired" them yet. But if needed - I will definitely. They answer every question I had thoroughly and in a way I could understand. They were patient and understanding of what I was looking to accomplish. Thanks guys - you've helped my family by showing me ground I could stand on that I didn't know was there and I'm no longer getting pushed around. Also, I was pushed nor persuaded to "hire" them. They gave me so much information I am trying a few things out on my own before more serious actions are taken. Very helpful. I worked with Marci Martinez, not Duane.

The staff and family lawyers were very professional and helpful during a family breakup. A year later, post-divorce, I still have the firm on maintenance retainer. just in case.

ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS YOUR MONEY.....Complete disappointment. I was told in the consult that my divorce (with no kids) could be handled for around $2500-$3500. They used up my initial retainer fast, and they want you to keep it at the $2500 monthly, so they will keep hitting your card to keep it there monthly and refund you what they "don't use". They will use it all. I never even went to court. They filed a couple things at $400/hr, AND THEY CHARGE $75 PER EMAIL AND PHONE CALL!!!. Still waiting to check the email records. $2500 got spent fast. Its cheaper to do it yourself. Now they want to charge me $3500 more or they are dropping me.

I can't imagine finding a family law firm that is more on point and thorough than Coker. Through my experience with Marci Martinez I don't believe you will find a more caring and success driven firm to bring your situation to the best resolution possible. Highly recommended.

DOUBLE BILLING AND BILLS FOR EVERYTHING I retained Kimberly Killebrew from Coker Legal in September of 2014, for a divorce. I met with Kim on a couple of occasions and I requested minimal work to be done by Kim and her team. Over the next few months, I was billed thousands of dollars to simply reply to some emails and file a counter petition. While not being satisfied with results and reviewing my bills, I began to seek alternative council. In doing so, I noticed I was double billed initially for "opening and preparing new client file". Additionally, most of what I was billed for adhered to their billing guidelines, however, being billed for multiple conferences with her legal assistant that I was not aware of as well as billed to perform a motion to withdraw that was not requested were certainly questionable items. I attempted to work with the Coker Legal team, including Duane Coker, to adjust my billing and they did recognize and refund the double billing, but only after I had brought it to their attention. Coker Legal declined to work with me on the other items as they stated it was within their guidelines. While they were within the letter of most of their charges, in consultation with other attorneys in the area, they were not common practice. I cannot recommend anyone at Coker Legal and, if you have already retained them, I encourage you to diligently review your bills.
