I came in late on my case after being completely barraged by my wife's lawyer about owing her $65k for her to divorce me. Scared of what to do I looked up Google reviews on different family lawyers in Denton, TX. Coker Legal was the first place that came up and I have them a call, they immediately sat with me and explained to me what was happening and also that we were one day away from the initial serving from becoming set in stone. Jackie Cannon was the lawyer they got me in contact with and she did an exceptional job of working hard to get me out of a jam and even filing the same day to have the serving ammended. She then researched what they were charging me and found that one of the biggest charges was the claim to be reimbursed for half of my student loans. She and I were able to find Texas family code 3.409, which my wife's lawyer failed to mention, and immediately got that revoked and immediately saved me $24k. Jackie then proceeded to work through the claims for all the tools and equipment and supplies that my wife was charging me for at new price. This removed another $6k (thereabouts). I ended up deciding to sell the house to not have to pay my wife out of it and after all was said and done, the initial $65k that I owed my wife turned into $5k and the frustration level that my wife's lawyer's intimidation gave me went away. From there it was smoother sailing. This law firm is a great law firm and I would even recommend using them just for a single lawyer like my wife and I were originally supposed to do. But if you feel like you need a second legal opinion, Coker Legal can really save you a large amount of frustration. They can get you back in the game even coming in 3 months late. And one last note, they genuinely care for their clients. I know I even vented some frustrations out to Jackie and she just listened and treated me like a human and not an expense check. Divorce is a very difficult area of your life to go through and I highly recommend seeking reconciliation before you ever go through it, but for those who must face it, this is a good place to start to ease the level of frustration.

I was very satisfied with the expert representation and the fees I paid. As with most things in this life you get what you pay for. When one wants freebie advice, google it, but good luck because the internet is very seldom the safest route. This firm has professional people that do care about your outcome, and they were always courteous.
