Too much miscommunication. In addition to this, I had submitted multiple documents to the firm in regards to my legal matter, only to have be asked to produce them again. These documents were given before the pandemic started. I never received much in the way of direct communication except for when I needed to refill my retainer fee. I was also told via email that "I am surprised you did not know this" regarding an action I took. I am going to leave this hint: IF YOU ARE A MALE AND YOU ARE GOING THROUGH A SIGNIFICANT LIFE CHANGING EVENT, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LAW FIRM.

I called to set up an appointment with Ms Adkins. The secretary told me she could set up an appointment in ten days, I agreed even though that seems like quite a while. That should have been my first clue to move on to someone else. I even asked if Ms Adkins was super busy because I have dealt with lawyers who have a very high case load and it never goes well for the client. I spent a few hours filling out their questionnaire and preparing a letter for Ms Adkins. I sent it in and waited for the phone call for our agreed upon appointment time. No phone call. Her secretary emailed me and told me Ms Adkins was too busy and I'd have to re-schedule for tomorrow. After waiting ten days for a call back and then no call this is not going well. If you want a lawyer who can manage their time and get back to you when they say they're going to I'd look somewhere else. I've been siting around for ten days when I could have been looking for someone else. Pretty unprofessional.
