Es un lastima que solo logré conocer a mi abogado en mi última audiencia. Creo que el tener una comunicación más asertiva de cliente-abogado, daría la posibilidad de estar más confiado que el proceso es correcto y una preparación adecuada. Logramos tener una respuesta positiva en la corte es un gran punto a favor.

I hired Mr. Rios in June of 2023 to represent me for child support. Mr. Rios did not show up for the hearing. He allowed the incorrect income to be submitted. He did not send me any exhibit list. He did not send me any documentation from the opposing counsel. He did not submit the required paperwork for travel to included in the child support calculations. Following the hearing, after requesting a call to explain the mistakes made at trial, it took me calling him to get any answers. He said the income could only be fixed if I resubmitted my checking account statement. When asked about why the travel expenses were not even allowed to be discussed, Mr. Rios said he would have to consult the attorney that represented me at trial. Two weeks later, after receiving NO RESPONSE his office, Mr. Rios chose to inform me that because we did not file a counter petition, it was not allowed in. He chops this up to a miscommunication on my part, but REPEATEDLY tried to get me to submit a modification for splitting travel expenses rather than using it as a response to child support. He repeatedly used the phrase "the judge probably wont" count travel expenses. Not once did he inform me that I would need to pay him more in order to request this to be included. I spoke to Mr. Rios today, and that will be the last time. He refuses to accept responsibility for his actions and complete lack of concern for my situation. He is either a garbage lawyer, or doesn't care enough to perform his duties for you. Stereotypical law office. Go elsewhere.
