I was caught in a pretty bad spot about a year ago. Desperate do to my UCW and DUI case I came to Ruben Ortiz just by sheer luck. After taking it upon myself to do community service, go to the MADD class and overall dig myself out of this hole, Mr. Ruben Ortiz helped me along the way. Fast forward a couple of months later and he got both cases on PTD. I just want to say thank you and making this a away easier process.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE I came to see Ruben Ortiz for the same reason you might be thinking. 4.5 stars with over 200 reviews is near a perfect rating for an attorney. But do not make the same mistake I made by consulting with him and paying the $50 fee. I came to see Ruben for Child Support matters as a non custodial parent after separating from a 7 year marriage I told him my annual Gross Income was about 65k in 2017 but my net was of 30k due to business expenses, per diem and other non taxable compensations of witch I had all the proof. This year (2018) I have made 40k gross so far and about 30k net. I told him I need to get my Child support payment as low as possible Or close to this years earnings due to my income fluctuations and business expenses. Told him I could not pay a child support based on last years 65k gross income because i would not be able to afford it but he immediately responded by belittling and making me feel attacked by saying things like "how can a parent want to pay the least for their kids" "Are you gonna tell your kids when they grow up you paid the minimum" "you could have avoided this if you knew about the Trojan company" (I did not pay a $50 fee to be criticized or made fun of) Anyways this gentleman did not even take the time to take a look at my paperwork. He also said he did not believe that this year (2018) I had made 40k gross even though I had to proof to show him but he refused to take a look at it. I felt like he was against me. The whole time he has sitting slouched back giving me a look with a bit of a head tilt that showed me he was not to interested in making business with me. He said i had to pay child support based on my whole Gross income even though the law dictates Per Diem cannot be held for child support purposes and is non taxable. After seeing another 2 attorneys that directly contradicted him and took the time to review my case I ask you to please RECONSIDER consulting with Ruben Ortiz and paying a $50 fee. Read the 1 star review comments before you commit to him. I took the time to read the 1 start comments and they say things very close to my experience. I believe most of his reviews are fake. I do not know where he gets so many happy customers from. I strolled down the 1 star reviews and found out it might be true. He replied to a reviewer blaming his niece for getting fake reviews without his permission from an online group.
