I was a desperate mother looking for a miracle to get my son out of a terrible legal situation. This may sound hokey to some, but I prayed for help and direction. Over 3-4 days I had received several letters from lawyers soliciting their services. When I received a letter from Benson Varghese, I got a calm feeling and knew he was the right person to save my son. When I first called, my son was looking at a minimum of two years and up to twenty years in the penitentiary. Because of the investigation prior to the court/grand jury date, Benson was able to resolve the case without a felony conviction. My son was released on a misdemeanor, with no probation or court charges. He knows his business and has a excellent reputation within Tarrant County.

I came to Benson after my boyfriend already had a court-appointed attorney. We were extremely frustrated with the court-appointed attorney because that attorney wasn’t doing anything. We gave the first attorney a lot of evidence to consider and that went unused. The former attorney never visited J.B. in jail, didn’t keep us informed of what was happening on the case, or do any work from what we could tell. That first attorney didn’t believe us or work on the face. So we called Benson. From the moment we started talking, I new Benson was cut from a different cloth. He listened, understood and was extremely informative. He walked me through the options and had a strategy for what to do. In addition to being available to talk to me on the case when I called, he also has a client portal where I was always kept up to date on the status of the case, Benson’s negotiations, and updates on analysis of the evidence we provided. We were set for trial in a felony court, and on the morning of trial the case got dismissed based on all the evidence Benson presented to the DA. He has presented to them multiple times on how weak their facts were, but it took being ready for trial for the State to realize they could lose the case or dismiss it. They dismissed it and J.B. came home to me. J.B. Benson came to jail and visited with me on multiple occasions. First when he was hired, then to give me updates, then to prepare me for trial. He gave me his professional opinion about the risks and rewards of going to trial. He told me he believed we had a good shot, but no guarantees. But he was prepared. He prepared evidence for trial and was ready to step out in front of the jury. He gave me confidence to stand on the truth. I knew I was locked up on lies, by an upset ex, but it was Benson’s analysis and skills that gave me assurance that I’d picked the right attorney. I am happy to be out and back with my friends and family instead of being wrongly-convicted of a felony assault. Thank you Benson! MY CASE WAS DISMISSED! I was charged with Theft of Services based on a rental contract that had my name on it, even though my boyfriend at the time was the one who bought the TV. He never paid, and fast-forward to the end of last year, I was arrested on this and that how I found out this case was pending against me. I called the District Attorney’s Office to see what I could do and they told me it was a Class A misdemeanor and that I could go to jail for up to a year. They told me I needed to get an attorney. I started calling around. I think I talked to about thirty attorneys. I probably got 50 letters in mail from attorneys. I talked to a lot of attorneys, somewhere inexpensive, one or two were more expensive. One guy even called me back and tried to scare me into hiring him by telling me my life was over. Benson and his firm was different. They took time to get to know me, my problem, and find a solution specifically for me. One thing that I remember, and ended up being true, is Benson told me he would do everything he could for me, but I had to hold up my end of the bargain. He guided me through the steps we needed to take and he wasn’t easy on me. There were times I didn’t think I could get everything done. But this firm got me through it. Because of everything he did, Benson got my case dismissed. I worked really hard to get to the place I am in life. Benson made sure there I didn’t end up with a criminal conviction or go to jail. I trusted Benson with my future and my record and he saw me through. I am really beyond happy with what he did for me. If you are looking for a DWI attorney in Fort Worth, look no further. Benson took my DWI allegation to trial for me. Every other attorney that looked at my case said I didn't have a shot a winning because on paper my Blood Alcohol Concentration was too high. Benson looked at my case and gave me very realistic expectations about what my chances were. While I knew it would be an uphill battle and the odds were against us, I was certain Benson would give the trial all his effort, attention and expertise. I could tell Benson knew DWI law inside and out but what I wasn't quite prepared for was his brilliance in the courtroom, in how he presented the case but also set traps for witnesses who could not have been telling the truth. He had a sergeant on the stand on day one and established some facts that he was able to prove were not true when he put another officer on the stand the second day...an officer who, to this day, reports to that sergeant. Both of them were out at the scene, but they both told very different versions of what they claimed happened. Then the expert took the stand on the breath test evidence. I think the State questioned him for a couple of hours at least. Benson took him on cross examination and in about four questions completely demolished the State's argument. Benson got the State's expert to admit even according to their calculations, I could have been under .08 at the time of driving even though on paper the results said I was well over .08. This guy knows his stuff. He had a strategy for each witness, and you could tell he laid the ground work with the jury all the way from jury selection. His closing argument is the stuff legends are made of. After the case was over, but the jury was deliberating, I still knew it'd be a difficult case to win, but as promised Benson had given me my best shot at winning. Words can't describe how thankful I was when the jury came back with a Not Guilty. Benson pointed out the inconsistencies in the officer's stories, there was no video corroboration of their testimony, and he got the expert to concede I could have been under at the time of driving. I don't wish a DWI arrest on anyone, and I know now better than to ever drink and then get behind the wheel. Despite all that in my heart of hearts I believed I was not intoxicated, and Benson did an amazing job of talking to me about the risks of going to trial but still letting me make the decision to go forward. I am an educator. This saved my career, my livelihood, and my ability to support my family. I am forever indebted to Benson for what he did. I cannot give him a higher recommendation.

I am astounded by the outcome Benson got for me on this case. I went to him after sleepless nights worrying about this case. The first thing that comes to mind is how easy he made the process. I came to him when I was facing a drug charge that could have resulted in a felony conviction and a lot of time behind bars. He took the time to meet with me, discuss the charge, what he would do, and what the possible outcomes might have been. I'm probably still in disbelief about what Benson was able to do. He was able to get my case no-billed. The second thing that comes to mind is his communication. His office and Benson were fantastic about communication. They have a client portal and are quick to get back to me when I ask them questions. I could always reach them over the phone too. I never had a question about what was going on or what was expected of me. Third, his was reasonably priced. I talked to several others that were less expensive and one that was more expensive but none that were as good as Benson. Certainly after this outcome, he is the only person I would recommend.

I was charged with a second degree felony of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Benson was able to get a No-Bill on my case. I was looking at 20 years in the penitentiary, but he got my case dismissed. I never have to go to court, I won't go to the pen, and I don't have to pay any fines or court costs. Hiring Benson was the best decision that I made and the best money I've ever spent. I have already referred lots of people to Benson and I will keep doing that. I came to Benson when I was facing jail time. He was able to get my case dismissed outright. He also gave me advice on other matters that I was also able to resolve.
