Trying to do business with an attorney office during a divorce is needless to say a very hectic experience. Becca and Harley, two of associates of Mark Childress law firm have made an uncomfortable experience a non issue. They both have gone out of their ways to accommodate me during stressful times. I highly suggest that anyone looking for a“hands on” experience needs to let Mark Childress take care of you.

I hired the firm of Mark Childress from 3/21/22 to 3/28/22 to handle my elderly father's divorce. I terminated the contract after nine days, mostly due to their in efficient communication process and the fact that they filed my case without my consent. In those 9 days, they charged me $2,700, in which approximately $1,550 was charged on 3/28, the day they were dismissed and even more charges beyond that date. Beware of this firm and their hidden fees. You can find qualified lawyers that do not take you to the bank.

Was told to pay what we owed them so we did then they filed to be removed from my case beforehand and then just continued to remove themselves saying that they supposedly told me to pay an additional $1000 but they never did. Horrible service and definitely wasn't worth the $10000 we paid them to just suddenly run off.

If I could give them less than 1 star, I certainly would. The only thing that this law firm is concerned about is getting money from you. You will give them money for the Trust and then they will call you again in a week or two and need more money. I actually spoke with another attorney and told them who we were using. Their exact response was "You will run out of money before you get anything done with them!" Gave them $ 3,500.00 two months ago and put the case on hold. Now we are getting requests for more trust money, even though the case has been on hold for two months now and nothing is happening on it. You don't get to speak with any of the attorneys without a charge for money being placed on your account. You have a question regarding the billing? Then you need to pay upfront to schedule a time to speak with someone. There are good attorneys in the area to use. This one is NOT one of them!

This is the First time in almost a decade where I feel like maybe there is hope. I have had nothing but terrible experiences in the courtroom in the past. With my emotional and physical accounts drained, I had no choice but to bend the knee to my ex and his family with anything involving our son. But I think I may just have found the crutch I need to be able to fight for what is right and true.
