This attorney was highly recommended to me by a friend. I was looking for a lawyer who was aggressive with my interest in mind. I spoke to an attorney as a free consultation and felt very positive it would be a great fit. This feeling quickly dissipated once I arrived for court. I never got a call with an attorney before the court AND NO ONE showed up before the scheduled court! I called and left a message to the office as well as texted them. Still, no response. The court was scheduled at 9 and around 9:06, one finally showed up. She told me she was on another case and will be back once she has finished with it. I waited another hour and 15 minutes for her before she arrived. She spoke with the opposing counsel and the judge for approximately 10 minutes and reset my court date. She called me later that day to go over my case, shortly after the start of our conversation, she told me she had to call me back because HER MECHANIC was calling her! I, her paying client, was set aside so that she can tend to her personal problem. She did call me back to review my case. When I explained all the evidence I have and what would be best to send to her, her response was to send over everything. Later I found out that every time she reviews, re-reviews, or re-reviews again, I get billed for 15 minutes every time. Weeks later, we went to court again. Never saw the court room but sat inside the family council room. My attorney and the opposition maybe took 30 minutes discussing our wants and we came to an agreement. Because she was dealing with other court cases, I was there for a little over 3 hours. So, here is why I gave it 1 star... No communication prior to court. Charged for the text asking where my attorney was when she was late. Charged again for the phone call and message left to the office asking where the late attorney is. Charged again for emailing a question. Charged over and over and over again it seems like every time my case is thought of. Remember those 3 hours of me waiting for her while she was tending to other clients court hearings? Yep, I was charged those 3 hours as well. I was charged again for her to make a "trip to the courthouse" when I fired her and she had to remove herself from my case. If I call to question my bill, yep... charged again for the inquiry. 2 court dates reset, 30 minutes of phone calls, and yet... no progress made = $7k. Save yourself some money and be free from stress by hiring another law firm who actually spends time for their clients and fights aggressively for them! This law firm only knows how to bill their clients to death!

This place is a SCAM. They do not care about you or your case. They will eat up your retainer with frivilous charges checking your balance everyday. They will send you multiple copies of papers just to eat your retainer up. Dont even get me started about the bad advice. My exes lawyer had to come find me for court as my lawyer was no where to be found and the stand in "senior partner" was so busy with other cases and unfimiliar with mine he had no idea who I even was. So then the lawyer they had stand in for her finished off my retainer which was $5k plus charged me another $1k to get me 4 hours a month visitation supervised which is exactly what the other side was asking for so basically I was charged a lot of money for my ex to have another lawyer which is definitely not "good faith" conscerning my case. I could have done all that myself and saved myself $6k so after all that they then want to schedule another $2k court appearance in a month and demand more retainer money or wont even schedule it I asked to speak with my lawyer about what is next as far as my case goes just in case I want to let them go as they have been rather unhelpful and they refused to let me speak with them until I put another 2k in my retainer (they charged me $117 for that 5 min conversation to ask to talk to my lawyer, yes you heard me correct). The worst of it is when I fired them off my case they charged me $2475 to file 1 paper to the court and a bunch of checking my balances on my retainer at $37.50 per click apparently. Worst lawyers of all time, save your money!! Also dont pay any attention to the obviously fake reviews below that have 5 stars they are bought and paid for by the people they prey upon. Dont be one of them!...... UPDATE 12/7/23 so the new lawyer I have on my case has stated "its conscering to me that they had recommended you to accept supervised visits as it wasnt necessary for that to happen and it is potentially damaging to your case" and that I should have been directed to counter affidavit instead of agree to what they said would be the best decision for my case. According to the stand in lawyer from this firm who was unfimiliar with my case "the judge may not have time for your case today and would have to rescheduled for another date, so it would be best for your case and your time that you are missing to set it up this way an then have the order changed in a month" instead of drawing up a counter affidavit and dirceting me to collect affidavits from witnesses before the court date to submit that day... I had not had any time with my son for 2 years and acting out of desperation to see him, agreed to the legal advice I had payed them to receive. Little did I know that it was just a ploy to extract more rescources from me and not a legal advisement done in good faith. I will continue to update this as more of your firms follys are uncovered during progression of this case.

Seems a lot of the other reviews will speak for themselves and the issues I also had. Very transactional. Got handed off by Mark to an attorney I think I spoke to directly once on a call for minimal time. No relationship built - just constant charges for any task they could list. Cost wound up being almost twice as much as intended/wanted. Not saying stay away - they performed and gave me what I paid for. Just not the type of attorney/office I would like to business with again.

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM THIS FIRM!! PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID, PLEASE READ ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU EVEN HAVE A CONSULTATION WITH THIS FIRM!!!!! This so called law firm is ridiculous, the billed me over 12k for them to do absolutely nothing on my case in over a year!!! Not to mention this case this far along me and the other party have mutual agreed to almost everything without them aside from a couple things, which even now that both parties are in agreement to handle this case on our own. They charge you for everything and they take their sweet time to do anything! They did not go to bat for you as their client. I had one attorney and then they switched without speaking to me and then sent me an email acting as though they had already spoke to me about this switch! My attorney was Brenda Colon, I never felt as if this attorney was fighting for my best interest. She never made me feel comfortable at any point my case. I spent over 12k before any pre-trail and then now they are requesting another 5k from me. I get having a trust fund with a firm but never have I ever had this much of terrible experience with a firm!!! I have spoke to multiple attorneys about my case before I choose to terminate this firm as my representation, all of them review my case online at dallas county and were in shock about how its been handled! Best choice you could make for yourself is do not trust this firm by any means for anything you need to be handled by an attorney!

Overall a pretty bad firm to work with. No idea if they are good lawyers because they will nickel and dime you to the point where you have to go on administrative hold and not ever get to court. Was told by Mark that this was a very simple case that would cost $4500 and take 6-8 weeks. At 22 weeks in they request another $1000 so we schedule a call with our assigned attorney to figure out why and she tells us that she has never seen a case like this end in 6-8 weeks and that our case was pretty much done we are just waiting now. We pay them the $1000 and exactly 7 days later they inform us that we need another $1000. Checking the most recent bill $600 of our most recent $1000 all was charged by the billing clerk for 3 emails she sent. It took them 22 weeks to go through $4500 and only 7 more days to go through $1000. You can't schedule a call to talk to anyone about the crazy fees and where the case is because of course that just costs more money so you are stuck dishing out 1000s of dollars to never know where your case stands or when the money pit will stop. Long story short: Mark lies to get you in the door and his hounds rob you of every penny you have.

This is the worst law firm. I don’t recommend it to anyone whatsoever. I had a great lawyer who was taking care of my case Brenda and the one time she was sick these people sent another lawyer Madison to represent me on my trial and she did nothing. She sat there and allowed the OC to crucify me and they cost me my son. I lost all right to my son when there was no reason for that to happen. They are so greedy and so selfish and all they want is money after money. I paid almost 27000 to these people just for them to lose my case and make me lose my son. Horrible law firm and I don’t recommend it to anyone. Please please don’t waste your money here. Me and my family made a huge mistake by trusting these people. If my original lawyer was there I know this would’ve never happened. They were supposed to ask for a continuance so Brenda could go to the trial instead they went along with this Madison person and destroyed my sons life my life my whole families life.

This firm seems as though they have pretty good reviews. I suspect if you have the amount of money needed at your disposal they are great. In my initial conversation with Mark I stated that I had another attorney tell me that she was going to require a $4,000 retainer and that I could not afford that. Mark responded telling me that $4k was pretty steep for a child custody modification that was non contested. He stated that "he requires a $2,500 retainer" and that "any monies not used would be reimbursed." I agreed to move forward. Within a couple of days they emailed me the proof and I had to ask them to correct grammatical errors on their part as well as change one address. The next day I get a bill for nearly $600 more dollars which I contested. They dropped the payment to $400, which I paid. They emailed my ex the modification and charged me another $50 and requested another $750 for a trust payment. I've had an attorney do a complete divorce for $1,500 and this divorce was $2,000. I cannot justify paying the amount they require for a child modification. I wish him and the firm were people of their word. It's unfortunate that there are people and business out there that pull shenanigans like this. If you've got all kinds of disposable income feel free to reach out to this place but if you want honesty, integrity, and a man of his word, look elsewhere. I should have paid attention to the negative reviews online. After I already hired this firm I asked about them in a couple of Facebook groups and I got several bad responses similar to mine and others. UPDATE after their response: They will respond with this generic response on reviews or through email. They totally avoided answering my initial questions on why I was told by Mark "$4,000 is too steep for a non contested child custody modification..." and then yet to continue to bill me up to $4,000. It would have probably been more if I continued using them.

Absolute worst law firm in Ft Worth. Charged my dad for months to review his case weekly while not filing and finishing his divorce papers after the judge signed them. Months of $250.00 a week, no work done til he got sued for contempt of court and had to hire another law firm after paying this law firm over $30,000.00 for a divorce and never seeing the inside of a courtroom. CAUTION! 48 hours after engaging the firm we decided to take a different route not involving divorce. They managed to blast through 90% of my deposit of $3,500 in 48 hours. They are charging $10 per minute for text messages. Feeling robbed.

UPDATE: I was disappointed by my initial experience, specifically with the lack of communication. However, my experience has changed, and so has my opinion. Communication has made the biggest difference. The team has updated me on the state of my case, answered questions that I had, and so far they seem to be working towards in my desired outcome. I am feeling better about my decision to go with this firm.
