Dealing with an injury and then the unbelievable bureaucracy of the OWCP is daunting. After a quick check of reviews I picked Andrew Douglas without much thought. How fortunate was I that I did.
I paid a retainer and he filed my paperwork in a timely manner. He never seemed rushed and took his time hearing my case and preparing my case.
OWCP denied it time and again, seemingly without even looking at it.
Months and months went by and he still continued to contact me, worked with me on monthly payments when I was destitute and couldn't work.
I was ready to give up and he offered to file a shot in the dark appeal.
Over a year later they responded and granted it.
I'm still battling with OWCP over medical, but it's a lot easier now that I have the compensation I deserved.
His empathy towards me and tenaciousness with OWCP gave me the will to keep going with the case, and honestly helped to keep me from drowning in the depression of the physical, mental and financial ruin I was in.
I hate that I'm writing this after the case was resolved, as it was my intention to do it long before. I would have left the exact same review of his services even if OWCP had denied the appeal.
My experience is that OWCP cares nothing for us federal workers, but I have felt from day one that Andrew Douglas does.

Workers Compensation was extremely difficult to navigate on my own and I realized I needed the expertise of an Attorney. After researching and speaking to many attorneys, I finally found Andrew Douglas.
Mr. Douglas was forthcoming in his information on what to expect and how long the process would take. He did not hesitate to advise how we would proceed. The competency he displayed made me confident I made the correct choice. He proved to be knowledgeable and honest at every turn. He projected a confidence that made a very stressful situation easy to handle. He always replied to emails in a timely fashion and took the time to speak to me directly. He answered all questions and was always pleasant. His professionalism and advice surpassed my expectations.
I feel I was very fortunate to have had Mr. Douglas assist with my claim and would highly recommend him without reservation. I am extremely grateful to Mr. Douglas for his time and efforts.

Very attentive, proactive, and personal. Just the person you would want when OWCP is being uncooperative. He eased a lot of my anxiety and he fights to win!

Aside from Mr. Douglas being an expert in the Department of Labors’ Office of a Workers Compensation Program (OWCP) he has been an exceptional person as well.
Mr. Douglas has been empathetic and kind during this convoluted, lengthy, and very frustrating time. He has also been a voice of reason and a calming force for me during this extremely trying time. Without Mr. Douglas I truly feel the claims examiners at OWCP would still be delaying my compensation.
Additionally, OWCP has tried to low ball me (so to speak) by approving my injury only as “temporary” versus “permanent.” Mr. Douglas is an expert at pointing out clear, legal and medical arguments to OWCP to correct their error.
Working with OWCP on my own has been a nightmare for me; Mr. Douglas has made it a lot more bearable going through this process.
I highly recommend Mr. Andrew, Douglas to assist you with the convoluting and very stressful process of your OWCP needs.
