Where do I begin? Elizabeth Nielsen started off appearing to be a competent attorney. In the time that she was my attorney, she had three different paralegals and moved her office to three different locations. She was all I could afford at the time. Do not waste your money or your time! She is unorganized and unprofessional. She was late to almost every court date and one time the entire court including myself, waited 15 minutes for her to arrive. I ended up getting totally screwed by my ex-husband and his pitbull attorney and Elizabeth. Worst life experience ever! Run away from this attorney!

She is very unprofessional. She was not prepared and unorganized. She did not present any of the information that we provided her. Before court, she built our confidence, but did not perform in court. I'm not sure if she was scared of the OAG or just lazy. At least we would have been heard if we would have represented ourselves. Please don't trust her with your money or your family.

Elizabeth was so good to us. She helped us stay in our budget and was our attorney for what was a three year long case for our grandson. We did not want the result we got, but we were so happy with Elizabeth and what she did for us. She is a great lawyer.

If you are looking to WASTE your money and NEVER EVEN GET INTO COURT, THIS IS THE LAWYER FOR YOU! She is very unorganized, unprofessional, meaning she will yell things out from her tiny office to her inexperienced paralegal while you are sitting in her lobby area with other clients. She does not respond to phone or e-mail messages, unless you just keep calling or e-mailing repeatedly then you might get some sort of excuse from her or the paralegal. I paid this so called "attorney" a retainer fee and got nothing in return. I contacted her over a year ago to aid me in a family law matter and then decided to take a "holding pattern" for a bit. I then again contacted her in April 2015 for her to please go ahead and file a petition with the court. She agreed to move forward, I asked how long will this take for you to get it prepared? She stated two weeks, I did not hear from her until I had to call her office again in June. I told her that the situation was URGENT, and I felt as though that someone else was going to file for custody of my granddaughter and that is exactly what happened within one week another attorney filed a petition in the court. Ms. Neilsen had me come to her office to sign an affidavit, I arrived at the office and she was not there and she had her paralegal working on it. I waited for one hour along with another client sitting in the office listening to my affidavit, no privacy at all! The affidavit was signed by me and notarized on 6/26/15 and still to this day was never even filed with the court. The other parties attorney filed within one week and had the case closed within a two week time frame. Ms. Neilsen cost me my opportunity to petition the court for joint custody of my granddaughter. The Judge signed an order giving joint custody to a non-parent and non-relative of the family.

She has done everything she can to help me an my kids. She really knows the law! She will sit and talk to you for hours about your case and really make you feel at ease about your case and that everything is going to be ok. She will do what ever it takes and even appeal your case if she has to. She goes the extra mile.

Elizabeth worked really hard for my case. My ex-wife was using drugs and I was afraid that I would not be able to keep her from seeing my kids. She took care of everything and I was able to pay on a payment plan!

Hiring Elizabeth to manage my case was the best decision I made in all my years of legal battles. I have had experience with many attorneys and experience with DIY. My case was one of the worst Denton County had ever seen. I had lost faith in attorneys and faith in the system being able to deliver justice until Elizabeth picked me up, and delivered the most valuable thing she could to any family -- stress relief and results. She was effective and turned the court around in what was beginning to look hopeless. If it wasn’t for Elizabeth I might not have my children today. Elizabeth keeps a level head, her paralegal knows how to defend and protect you from continued attacks, and they are supportive inside the courtroom and out. Elizabeth also is a parent and understands what parents and the children are going through. She lives what she practices. This is invaluable and important when making the decision of which attorney to represent you in the most important challenge in your life – protecting your rights to your children and your childrens’ rights to you. Elizabeth handles tough cases effectively and efficiently. She put so much time into my case that I didn't feel that I was paying her enough.
