I recently worked with David Swick on a accident claim. First of all, David has a great disposition. He is pleasant to work with and is very personable. He came across as very genuine and sincere whenever I spoke with him. David is sharp, polished, and very professional. He was relentless and quick to action. His tenacity and diligence made me feel confident that my case was in the right hands. Most importantly, he kept me in loop throughout the entire process and he made me feel appreciated. I would definitely recommend his services.

My wife and I were in an accident and was not sure where to turn. I started making calls and when I talked with Daragh Carter at S and H I was Immediately impressed. he started giving me information and things to watch out for and I had not even hired his firm yet. Some of the others were put off because I would not tell them Yes I was going to use them. Pressure and more pressure. I could not be more pleased or satisfied with a law firm. I am so thankful that I called Smith & Hassler! I was in my first really bad car wreck and my wrist was shattered. The insurance company wasn't helping me at all and they were rude. I was really nervous about hiring a lawyer actually but Daragh Carter was an amazing asset. I came into the office, sat down with his team and explained my situation. After my accident with a big rig cab, I realize I was hurt a few days later. I called about 10 firms to handle my claim since I knew I'd be up against a wall. The staff at Smith & Hassler were very informative and helpful. They gave me time estimates and provided all the information I needed. They were able to help speed along my property claim (just bought the car two days before the accident and received just as much as I paid for it!), and got me all squared away with a doctor's office quickly. I recovered in about 3 months. After recovery, I received a settlement check for injury claims within a month. I didn't have to do a thing except rest, recover and go to my dr. appointments. My attorney and his staff handled the rest. Very glad I chose to work with Smith & Hassler for my injury claims. I hope something like this never happens again...knock on wood...but if it ever does, I know who to call!

I went to a couple of Law firms before coming to Smith and Hassler. I told them of my situation, they had no problem assisting me with my case. I had a traumatic experience while 9 months pregnant due to another driver's carelessness and went into preterm labor with neck and back injuries due to this. After getting the runaround about my medical bills, I contacted Smith and Hassler for advice. The attorney that helped me was very knowledgeable, quick to respond to my e-mails, answered all of my questions in detail and just made the whole process so easy and convenient for me. He worked very hard through my entire case to ensure that I would be taken care of and I am very thankful for his help. Attorney Daragh John Carter In December 2011 I was involved in a motorcycle accident, a driver failed to yield right of way and turned into my lane of travel. Totaled motorcycle, hospital visit, broken arm, beginning stages of bruising. Two days later I receive an official looking letter in the mail telling me what “I MUST SUBMIT” because I was involved in an accident. My immediate thought was, “I am in over my head to try this alone.” My first thought was what Denny Crane would do if he were being bullied. I take my bruised and aching body to the nearest Smith and Hassler location. There I was greeted immediately by the receptionist, I was then introduced to Daragh John Carter. Immediate impression: 1. Clean cut/Professional dress. 2. Firm handshake. 3. Articulate. From that moment on for the next three years Mr. Carter became my lawyer. Mr. Carter sat down with my wife and I and explained what was going to happen next. I cannot remember every detail of our first meeting but what I do remember is hearing the words, “You are to not worry about anything else except getting better. We will take care of the rest.” For the next three years there was never a lapse in communication on his behalf. I was made aware of every single decision that had an impact on my case. I was sent a monthly update of where the discussions stood with the insurance company. In the entire time of the case I may have asked a total of five questions. Why? Because Mr. Carter answered every question I would have prior to me even actually asking it. It was his attention to details that truly impressed me. When it became time to meet with opposing counsel face to face I had absolutely no worries that I would leave the table with enough money to compensate me and make me whole. I was right not to worry, I have enough money now that I am able to make some lifestyle improvements.

My experiance with Smith & Hassler Atty Daragh Carter was great. I was continually kept up on every step of the process. Mr Carter answered any questions i had quickly. I was emailed all copies of events, conversations, with the defendants Atty. I noticed at one point Mr. Carter was still proffesional yet hard hitting a problem with the deffendant arose. This is what won my case and won more than originally predicted. I recomend this firm and Atty Carter. Hopefully i wont need representation again, but if I do I will only call Atty Carter.
