On February 2, 2012 I was in a head on collision with a 17 year drunk driver. My father attended a bible study with Mr. Al Hassler and that's when I was referred to Daragh Carter. Mr. Carter took care of everything for me. I was in my senior year of college and I was not receiving cooperation from the other driver's insurance company. I didn't know where to start. I had extensive injuries and the hospital and medical bills were starting to come in. I no longer had to worry about dealing with the insurance company. From the beginning Mr. Carter took care of everything and kept me informed with every detail. The great news is that I live in San Marcos and Mr. Carter is located in Houston and we were able to communicate perfectly. My accident had taken place in May 2011, and my case was assigned to Daragh Carter. At first I was very skeptical of going through a firm advertised on TV using a well known paid actor to advertise their firm. But I must say, I have no regrets whatsoever. Daragh is one of the most professional attorneys I have dealt with and also very quick to respond. He takes his profession very seriously and is not satisfied until you are given a fair dealing. I was a victim in an auto accident that occurred in February 2011. I was at a dead stop on I-45 Southbound and a lady who felt the need that her cell phone was more important and driving and steering her vehicle with her knees crashed into me while traveling at the posted speed limit. She hit me with such force that she was able to slam me into a Ford F-350 causing a duel impact. Her first words were "I had a cell phone emergency". I ended up having neck surgery to remove and replace 2 fractured bones in my neck and put metal plates in to stablize. I also had over 75 epidural injections in my back and over 40 Stellate Ganglion Nerve Blocks, MRI's, Discograms and surgery to relieve nerve issues caused by this accident. The insurance company did everything in their power to minimize the situation and lack of compassion was unreal especially when their commercials say totally the opposite. My attorney, Daragh Carter kept the situation under control throughout the entire process. As a single father with custody of my children, I was extremely worried due to the fact I was unable to work and Daragh just treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism that I expected. On the evening of Jan 29, 2012 I was injurded do to a black Chevy Cavalier parked on Hwy 90. This vehicle as stated in the police report was parked in a moving lane. With no hazard lights in a dark area of Hwy 90 and Beltway 8 the black Chevy Cavalier could not be seen. My wife called Smith and Hassler and Daragh Carter was assigned to my case. He started on the case right away which was suprising to my wife and I. He asked all the needed questions and we were asked to come to the office within the week. One of the insurance companies were taking to long and Mr.Carter got the situtation under control. And on top of that I got a very healthy settlement.
