Amazing individuals with tremendous drive and professionalism.

At this place, you make an appointment with Ruby but do not get to talk to her she passes you over to an assistant because she is to busy. They do not give you much help or advice but charge you a lot of money. Not worth your time.

Ms. Powers came to our school and did a presentation for our school parents. She spoke in English and Spanish. She did an awesome presentation and answering questions, even stayed longer to speak to those parents that had other questions. She was very positive, knowledgeable and very down to earth, taking her time with each person.

Ruby seems to be a very nice person however, I would not recommend this attorney due to a poorly handling of a case, despite my request to ask for a continuance Miss Powers showed to an appointment unprepared due to maternity leave, also after all fees were paid she held an application with impending deadlines asking for more money, she insisted to held the package and mail it herself despite my request for a last review, later I found the application was filed with the incorrect alien number. She was terminated, still she never provided the requested client's file. Aditionaly to the poor performance in the preparation and the huge mistake about the wrong Alien Number, no respecting the contract makes her unreliable.

We had a simple case of a Canadian man (me) moving to the US, marrying a US citizen (my wife). We needed help on getting the right papers done to get a green card; starting our little family here, we wanted to do things right you know? .... little did we know... I am not used to dealing with this much poor service to be honest. The two attorneys (partners) are knowledgeable, but offer absolutely no support nor do any effort to keep you informed. From where I come from, professionals have diplomas and offer worthy customer service. Not here. You'll be dealing with their legal assistants and the receptionist. They got to work very late every time I had appointments with them; waiting on the couch for hours. They provided very slow work and were not proficient in getting the right information from us in order to expedite the process. This whole process was a headache and we were kept into total ignorance even though we did all we could to stay in touch with them. To be fair, we got all our papers and the process is done. We have had problems and delays, for a simple case. Total process time: 4 months. Others done it themselves in 2 months. They'll tell you and explain to you for hours how it is not their fault. Truth is: they never show a sign of responsibility. THAT is NOT what we call professionalism. All in all: prepare to take matters in your own hands, becoming more knowledgeable than their legal assistants, for a period of 4 months. Prepare questioning yourself about whether or not you should have kept your 5000$ and done the job yourself, as it was as much effort keeping up with them as it would have been to do the work yourself. Me and my wife have personally done those papers for relatives by ourselves in the past. We had no problems. No work ethics, no follow-ups, no professionalism, impolite customer service, irresponsibility ...and a green card; that's what we got. We have been recommended this Law firm by former customer (friends) and they told us that Ruby Powers Law Firm was the best of the worst... in other words: all the immigration attorneys were worst than what I just described.
