I was supposed to go in for my appointment with SS Disability the day the world SHUT DOWN from COVID March 15, 2020! I had been thru the ringer with them here in TX. I had disability in Arkansas and it took no more than 9 weeks. The diseases I have are very rare and complicated and kind of hard to explain. I would much rather WORK than go to doctors appointments all week long and doing PT at my house 2 -3 times a week! Because I am not able to drive right now! Anyways I finally started to get some responses from ppl a couple weeks or months later after everything started to regroup. It took me over 2 years to finally receive my disability and if it wasn’t for Makris I may still be fighting them! I don’t know why TX is so difficult but at the same time I understand that they are making sure ppl aren’t scamming the system. BUT I had already been approved in another state. Regardless this firm helped me! I’m not going to say it’s all cotton candy and gumdrops! And 2+ years to get resolution is not the norm but after COVID what is the norm. They told me Mr. Makris would PERSONALLY be handling my case! Yeah that didn’t happen an attorney in Tennessee called me 20 minutes bf we did the hearing over a conference call! CALLED me and asked questions about the case. He was actually the nicest person I had talked to the entire time I called the firm! 🤭🤭🤭. Regardless the Attorney helped me get my disability and it went smoothly! They did what was expected of them I guess. But 2+ years WOW. My neighbor is a well know Judge here in Houston, retired now, and said that Makris was about as honest as u can get out there when it comes to these kinds of things! I was back paid about 10 months so they made their 20% on the rears and the attorney from TN I hope he made some money lol 😂 they did what they promised and it all worked it! I would work with them again for sure. I just know now that the justice system works even slower than it use to!
