I hired Matthew Knox to handle my divorce while stationed in Japan. My case began as a simple divorce and property distribution but later changed to a custody case for my daughter. He quickly changed strategies and developed a plan in which he advised me on actions I needed to take while in Japan and when appearing in court in Houston for the custody hearing. Matt had a daunting challenge, he was to reply to a writ of habeas/mandamus on his first family law case for complex contempt charges and was up against a seasoned retired judge who literally holds courses for how to win appeals of criminal contempt cases.
