Reached out to Mr. Longino for assistance for a very, very difficult child support case between two states. After two TX, and two California attorney's, and no end in sight because of the difficulty of my case, Mr. Longino was very knowledgeable in this area and was able to assist and get us closer to the finish line that we had never been in 4 years. As frustrated as I have been going from court in CA, TX, and back to CA, I am now better prepared to fight this battle with the help from Mr. Longino. I am an 88 year old Korean Veteran and can not say enough good things about Tristan Longino and how he helped me work through a very difficult divorce. Mr. Longino took the time to get to know me, the circumstances of my divorce and answered questions honestly. After hiring & firing 2 attorneys during a nasty custody battle I had no faith left in the family court system or attorneys, until I met Tristan & the Skillern Firm! Tristan handled my custody adjustment case. He was always professional, responded to all my questions in a timely manner and with great detail. He stayed calm and composed which helped me remain a bit more grounded in emotionally difficult situations. Tristan also presented options for course of action, allowing me to make an informed decision, rather than insisting that I proceed in a particular way. Finally, I really appreciated that Tristan considered the financial aspect of litigation, such as advising that one action may cost a lot but bring little benefit to the case. I hope I never need Tristan's services again, but if I do I would not hesitate to ask him to represent me again.

My divorce was final in Feb. 2016. Yes, I am late posting; but, I felt I needed to let the world know what a great attorney Tristan is. Not only was he always looking out for my best interest, he also listened to what I was asking for and he knew better than I did what I needed. He tends to stand back from the situation and does not get emotionally involved no matter what his client is dealing with or going through. This divorce process was new to me and I did not know what to expect. I honestly did not have a good opinion of lawyers from the beginning. I felt alone and scared through this process but I did not have to worry with Tristan as my attorney. He always had my back. He even worked to get the opposing council to settle matters. They kept dragging their feet and prolonging the case. He made it clear that he did not respect this and was opposed to other attorneys dragging things out for financial gain. If you want an attorney who does not play games, who knows his job and does it well, who looks out for your best interest, who aims to get it done quickly and at the lowest expense for you, then Tristan is your guy. He does not get emotionally involved with the situation so he can maintain an objective view. This is what I really appreciate. Someone looking in from the outside with an objective view and who also looks out for your best interest and the child's/children's best interest. I really respect him and am thankful I hired him to be my attorney. Tristan led me out of a regrettable situation and helped me regain my freedom. Hindsight I may have taken some precautions that he suggested early on that I didn't think were necessary. So if he offers you some suggestions or guidance, take it. He sees these cases on a regular basis and he knows what to possibly expect, even if you don't think your soon to be ex would do what Tristan cautions you of, or what the situation may turn into. He is there to offer you guidance on how to protect yourself no matter how insignificant the situation may seem. He is looking out for you and that is what you are paying him for. Trust him. My life has seen several changes since my divorce became final, BIG and small. I wanted to make sure I did you justice in my review. I have written this a couple of times to get it right.
