I contacted Mr. Sykes' law firm as I initially intended to file a case. I met him and we spoke in detail about my issue. He was very friendly and didn't come off as arrogant like other lawyers I've dealt with. Mr. Sykes was knowledgeable, helpful, sincere, and informative. I decided to retain him and continue with my case. Around a week and a half later my situation changed and I no longer needed his counsel. I informed his office by email and I received the 50% refund as stated in our contract. However, Mr. Sykes went above and beyond what any other law firm would do and provided me with further assistance financially and allowed the amount I had paid to be used for a certain time frame this year if I decided to pursue my case further. I would definitely recommend Mr. Sykes if you are looking for legal help from someone who cares and doesn't have the corporation feel. I plan to use his law firm in the future for my needs.

I needed an attorney really quick for "Power of Attorney" and found Keith D. Peterson online.. He answered the phone right away, and although he had other cases that he was working on, he started working on my request right away. By the next day he had all the paperwork complete, and met me and my brother up at the hospital the next day to have my mother sign the papers. All of this was done and complete within a matter of hours. He is very polite and professional.. as well as his staff. A true blessing. He's now my permanent attorney for any future needs.

Solid attorney. For divorce, probate, real estate, and other various small claims, I highly recommend. Also has a staff of solid Spanish speakers in his arsenal which made my experience much easier.

I called on today to schedule a consultation and it was a very negative experience. This attorney is apart of the Houston Lawyer Referral Service, according to the Texas Legal Aide system which is apart of the State of Texas' public defenders' program. Unfortunately, his office staff is unaware of this program and is unwilling to actively listen to the details/needs of future clients. In this specific case, it was a meniscal loss since the consultation is only $150. However, in the future the behavior and lack of professional etiquette of the receptionist can cost this attorney potential business in the future - for sure. I was patient and articulate in the type of case that I needed assistance with. I offered the case number for reference so the surface details of the case could be reviewed by the attorney at his leisure to determine if this case would be within his scope. These efforts were denied. I had to ask the receptionist to confirm if the attorney was a part of the program many times over so that I can know for sure if he was, or if there was a simple knowledge gap. I get it, people can be new at jobs, etc. But, I had to repeat my needs so many times as to educate her and get to the end-goal, scheduling the consultation. I provided all the information she asked for, with context. Ultimately, I just needed to schedule a virtual consultation. With the information provided, this should have taken only 5 minutes, instead I was on the call longer than round or about 20 minutes+. During this conversation I was abruptly interrupted and talked over, and then was hung up on. I called back a few more times to speak with a possible manager or someone else, and was continually hung up on. I could definitely move on to other attorney offices but I was in awe of the audacity to be so brute. I'm leaving this review because no one should be treated like this. This is not an attempt to disparage this attorney at all. I'm sure if the attorney knew the reputation of his namesake and business was being handled like this, he'd want an opportunity to educate and enlighten the receptionist on how to handle potential clients of all calibers, needs, and communication styles. There was honestly no reason for her to be as flustered and emotional about NOT knowing about the program. She resulted to egotistical communication that led to two people being highly dissatisfied and potentially harming the attorney's business and her livelihood. Do better.

Keith helped my wife and I with our last will and testaments in 2015. We went back to Keith Set 2022 for some revisions to our wills before our trip abroad. Keith is still the same person as he was in 2015. Honest, sincere, attentive and a great listener. He uses his knowledge and experience to help you get to where you want to be. We are always extremely comfortable around Keith. Not sure I could say that about other attorneys.

He is knowledgeable. He will give correct advice but He counts every single penny. Very professional!! I could not handle it. Off Course, Attorney is not charity business.
