UPDATE*** Shortly after posting this detailed review, my attorney Juan contacted me. He was very apologetic for the poor communication. He stated all of the wrongs and also explained to me that in fact, I was not shorted $100 it was the 33.333333%. He even went further to have someone reach out to those that I referred over to this company and made things right with them. The referrals should be receiving their settlements shortly. Juan also insisted on purchasing my family dinner one night with a $400 check! All and all I really appreciate Juan for making things right on behalf of his company. Even though it wasn't about the extra money for me, his actions felt sincere. I have updated my google ratings from a 2.5 to a 4. I used this company before a couple of years ago and they were great so I decided to have them take my new case. I wouldn't say this was a bad experience but it was definitely not the best. I am big on communication and being prompt. I did not receive that this go around. There would be times where I would be in communication with one individual then that same individual leaves the company. That is not a issue, HOWEVER, I was not informed on the change. I would still be contacting that same individual thinking that I am being ignored when that is not the case. That employee is just not with that company anymore. This happened to me three times during the course of my case. There would be times where I had to get out of my comfort zone and be rude and also CC my Attorney in emails so that whatever information I was trying to obtain be given to me. There were times where they stated that they are waiting on a certain document from the insurance company or hospital, so I would call the hospital/insurance company and they would tell me that all information was sent to G&M. The hospital even sent me the same information they sent G&M; so, I believed the insurance/ hospital was not telling a tale. I lost faith in Godsey and Martin and just wanted it all to be over and it finally is. It took a year and five months for my case to fully settled (not bad), including arrival of my settlement check. They also charged me a extra $100 on top of their 33%. My attorney was Juan. He seemed kind and was prompt. Whenever I CC'd him in any problem email, he contacted me with in the first 24 hours with a resolution. I referred 3 individual over to this company and they are having the same complaint as well regarding communication. I feel bad for them because I sent them to this company. If I could give this company any advise it would be to communicate better. A simple "update email" every two weeks or so will go a long way on what is going on with a persons case.

My first attorney was horrible and would not respond to me at all . He ended up getting let go from the company and I was assigned this awesome attorney named Sharde’ Marks. She did more for our case in 2 weeks than my previous attorney did in a year and a half. She made sure I had both her work and cell number and was in constant communication with me. Great customer service and professionalism from her and her team mate Angela.

The settlement of our cases (me, my husband & grandson)was a long & frustrating process. Case Got transferred To many Different case managers & attorneys & nobody knew what specifically to do to get us the proper Dr appointments in a timely manner at first!!! Then our files landed with attorney Chanta Marks.. she was a jewel, very professional & caring! Finally here we are over a year later our files are in the hands of Mr D’Boyja Abney/packaging department, where all our bills & medical records are gathered to forward to the negotiator for final settlement. Well the Pandemic shut down hit & everything in our process literally came to a halt!!! Dr’s offices, providers, clinics, hospitals were all in a state of chaos & communications were awful! D”Boyja did all he could to keep the process moving, he followed up with updates as promised & enlisted my assistance when he need additional information. & hit snags with providers He was extremely honest & throughly patient with me when I’d call to vent. D’Boyja keep me in the loop & we worked out the bottle necks together! He was one of the few people in the firm who made us feel like we actually mattered & not just a faceless file! D’Boyja thank you, you came thru & kept my nerves in tact! Also, thumbs up to attorney Chanta Marks & Nick Cheairs!

I would like to thank D' Boyja Abney , for the professional service he gave. I was very satisfied with his great service. He kept me informed with what was going on with my case on a regular basis and always asked me at the end of every conversation if I had any questions. MAN OH MAN!!!! My experience with Godsey Martin Law firm has been rough!! But Ms. Sharde' Marks has been MORE than amazing!! She has been there and has answered ALL questions that I've had concerning my case! When I could reach no one else... Ms. Marks was there! I appreciate you because I would be totally lost and feeling like no one cared enough to relay what was going on with my case! But then when I reached out to her... Everything was ok again!! Thank you for being so caring and awesome!! Godsey Martin should give you a raise or an award for picking up the slack (of your co-workers)!!!! SMH Thank you a millions times over again! Markeyshia Jackson, was very professional from beginning to the end. She was prompt answering phone calls as well as emails. Markeysha, explained the process step-by step so that I could understand. She always kept her word. If I had to sum it up in one word, it would be M. Jackson is "AWESOME"!!

Wasted a year from the accident they never called me i always had to call them and when I did the rarely answered or got back to me just recently I called and Laura Martinez told me my case was dropped no explanation no call no nothing i had call to find out very unprofessional. Wasted a year for nothing. I do not recommend them all the hype in the radio for nothing.
