Dawn took me and my kids to heart. Their needs and my needs were at her best interest and at the same time she was very straight forward with what I could expect. I went into my divorce blinded and she sat me down to explain and make me understand exactly what I could expect. It's a scary time in someones life and expectations can be blurred by emotions. Dawn explained to me what she thought she could do and explained to me what may happen. I appreciate the straight forward yet caring edge she has. I would change nothing about what happened and I have Dawn to thank. I can't say enough about her and her actions. I am very pleased with what happened in a very unfortunate situation. During a very difficult time Dawn made the experience as easy as possible. I had already consulted with a well known Lawyer in the area who would not return my calls, and felt very desperate and alone when I found Dawn. I was incredibly fortunate to find her. The moment I walked out of her office after the initial consultation I felt a huge relief. She answered my calls and emails promptly, listened to and addressed all of my questions and concerns. It was a difficult divorce as I moved out of the country during the process however, Dawn handled it seamlessly and made the process incredibly smooth with very little work required on my end. She was extremely knowledgeable and spoke to me in terms so I could understand the entire process. OMG!!! THIS IS MY FIRST TIME EVER WRITING A REVIEW BUT I HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING DAWN WHEN SHE WAS WITH KATHY VOSSLER. MY ORIGINAL DIVORCE ATTORNEY DID A BANGED UP JOB ON MY DIVORCE AND CHILD SUPPORT FROM MY EX WHO WAS IN THE MILITARY. HE TRIED IN EVERY WAY TO AVOID BEING SERVED. DAWN WAS EXCEPTIONAL IN EVERY WAY. SHE STOPPED THE NONSENSE WITH MY EX, WAS BEFORE TIME FOR MY COURT APPEARANCE, VERY KNOWLEDGABLE, AND THE JUDGE RESPECTED HER AND KNEW SHE MEANT BUSINESS. STILL TO THIS DAY I HAVE REFERRED ALOT OF PEOPLE TO HER AND THEY ALL HAVE SAID THEY WERE EXTREMELY HAPPY SHE WAS THEIR ATTORNEY AND NOT THEIR EXES. I hired Ms. Renken to represent me in my recent divorce case. She is a very aggressive lawyer who will fight for her clients. I was kept informed during the entire process, and she quickly answered any questions that I had. Her knowledge of the law was exceptional and she was able to achieve an end result better than I could have hoped for. I highly recommend Ms. Renken to anyone who is going through a divorce. I'm glad that I found her and my ex-wife didn't.

I have had 2 lawyers prior to Dawn, one for a divorce and one for custody/child support. The attorney’s I had were very reputable lawyers of their firms. They were also very expensive and after dealing with Dawn, I realized how much I spent for what I got with the other guys and I wished I would have had Dawn right from the start. This particular time Dawn represented me in a custody case that I was sued for, which turned into a simple modification of the current orders thanks to her straight forward no nonsense approach. She knew the law and what could be done and what couldn’t be done. She made me feel very relaxed at my consultation and her retainer was very affordable. She and her staff are also very cautious of your money and do their best to minimize unnecessary communications; and in the end I received almost half of my retainer back. She doesn't bs you at all and she tells you the truth. She also recommends cost efficient ways to handle your case. In my opinion Dawn isn’t out there to just make a buck….she is out there because she cares. I feel she wants to make a difference and help clients that have been done wrong in the past (like me) get the results they should have gotten the first time. First let me say that aside from working with corporate attorneys I have never had to use one in my personal life. After 13 years of marriage I needed some guidance on my options and more importantly an attorney who does not sugar coat things. I met with Dawn and was so upset about the situation that I did not take the paperwork with me. I ended up hiring Dawn to represent me in what turned out to be a very bitter divorce. My ex wife hired a very expensive attorney and made some shocking allegations which without proper representation would have been very damaging. Dawn always remained calm and was very candid about what needed to be done. While the attorney from my ex was very dramatic and snotty in court Dawn is not prone to "the drama". She just wants to get it done. My daughter was a priority for her. I found her work ethic to be exceptional and her fees were fair compared to other attorneys. I had read a review that stated"get ready when you go up against Dawn in Court" and all I can say is yes she was ready. I have seen a few negative reviews on Dawn and I completely disagree, I think some people hire a professional and then want to tell them how to do their job. Natalie who works for Dawn is compassionate and very effective at what she does. This was my first and only marriage and I carried some guilt for filing and not being able to make it work. When things got really ugly Dawn always looked out for my interests. My ex wanted 200% of everything and Dawn ensured that this did not happen. In closing what impressed me most about Dawn is her integrity, she will not compromise it.
