Very professional lawyer who has an extensive knowledge of the law when it comes to DWI. He can handle the most difficult cases due to his long experience in the matter; over 23 years. I hope I don't have to, but if a friend ever has a DWI case I would definitely recommend Jim without hesitation. I most grateful for his professionalism and the way he handle my case. Jim and his team are amazing! They worked hard throughout covid on my dui case that he ended up getting dismissed. Everyone was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. Love this team, and I'm so grateful for them!

My dad had a DWI his case got dismiss. It took several months but the lawyer told him he will try to do everything to dismiss his case and he did. His secretary a very professional lady was always letting us know every month about the courts date and if he need it to be present or not. She was a very helpful person. When my dad and mom spoke to him at the first time he was professional and responsive to all the questions that my parents ask him. No word's can explain how grateful I am to know Jim Butler. He has been with me through some trying times. I had a few DWI'S over 20 years ago and i received another one at 50 years old. I was in the middle of moving back to Michigan from Texas because my parents needed me and i needed to be with them also, when it happened. If it was not for Jim Butler i would have been in the Texas prison system till I was 60 years old for speeding 10 mph over the speed limit on my motorcycle. Jim Butler had my DWI felony dropped to a misdemeanor DWI charge and my license restored! I consider Jim Butler a friend and brother, my family feels the same because of the way he treated me and my case!

Jim Butler is one of the most down to earth and understanding people I’ve ever met. He fought beside me for 2 yrs on my case (dwi) ultimately getting a dismissal. Jim Butler seriously is the best attorney in the world! Anyone with their first dwi I’m sure was as terrified as me as I felt hopeless and would lose everything with many hardships ahead of me. I went to one attorney before Jim and basically left feeling like my life was over and I would lose everything I’ve worked so hard for (this would put my career on the line.) God definitely was looking out for me when I called Jim that evening and he said come to my office and it was late with no rush during our initial meeting. Jim didn’t focus so much on the details of my case in our meeting but wanted to know me as a person. He told me everything would be okay and I left his office believing this and trusted his words. He made the entire process so easy for me by going to my multiple court cases for a year without needing my presence so I didn’t have to take off work. Not going to lie, my circumstances of the biggest mistake of my life were not pretty on paper but I received a call from Jim the other day saying he went to my court date that morning and “CASE DISMISSED!” I cried in disbelief and I’m telling you that if you need a defense attorney for a dwi this is THE MAN OF HOUSTON! He saved me and gave me a second chance for one bad decision that could have basically ruined my life. His office staff is incredible as well.
