I want to start off by saying that this review in no way reflects anyone else except for the work of Kim Bruno and, in part, her mother. The young ladies who work at the office are super sweet, super helpful, and do the best work that they can. That is the reason why I am leaving a 1 star review, if not, I would have started this review stating I wish I could give 0. I came into this office based on a recommendation and even recommended Kim Bruno to people close to me, this was prior to me finding out how she really worked. I came looking for visas for my Honduran mother-in-law and father-in-law. I had a few months before my wedding (for reference I got engaged in the fall of 2023 and married in March 2024) but decided to see if I would be able to have my in-laws come for the wedding because the initial consultation is free with Kim Bruno. When I arrived, the young women at the front were super kind and helpful, but I did have to wait some time. It appeared several people had a similar appointment time, but appointments were done on a first come first serve basis. When I met Kim Bruno she seemed nice at first, but then when I started asking my questions she seemed very condescending. I would try to get answers to my concerns and be met with short responses. The response that stood out to me the most was “Why are you so worried, you’re a U.S. citizen aren’t you?” I left feeling guilty for my concerns, but also confident that I shouldn’t be worried, as Kim Bruno said, I am a U.S. citizen. Kim Bruno let me know that preparing the documents and the aide for the invitation of support for my in-laws’ visas would be $700 each, a total of $1,400. This was something I was willing to spend because I love my, now, husband and wanted to have his parents witness our wedding. Nonetheless, it is a lot of money to spend. As a result, I decided to do my own research on how the American consulate worked in Honduras. I noticed that the earliest appointment time for my in-laws’ visa type would be in two years. I thought, “there is no way they would be able to make it in time.” I brought this concern up at my next appointment. At my next appointment, I was expected to pay $1,400 for my in-laws’ visas. I had the payment ready, but was reluctant given the fact that I did not think my in-laws would be able to attend the wedding and all the other typical wedding expenses my husband and I had going on at the time. (Something I forgot to mention was that I made this payment on my own because I was planning on surprising my husband.) Regardless, when I brought up the concerns about the wait time, Kim Bruno’s mother came to me and told me not to worry, that if I write a letter stating that it is my greatest desire to have my in-laws here for the wedding, they should be able to be here for the wedding. Hesitant, I made the payment. Big mistake. As time passed I noticed that I needed to tell my husband the big news, as I couldn’t find someone who could give the original documents for the invitation of support for my in-laws’ visas. He was so happy he cried tears of joy. I cried with him, it was a very heartwarming moment that would soon result in crushed hopes. Our happiness was halted when we realized that I was right. When we tried making his parents’ visa appointments the earliest available appointment wasn’t until May of 2026. I relayed this information to Kim Bruno’s office, only to be told “we can’t control the American consulate in Honduras.” These people had gotten my hopes up, my husband’s hopes up, and my mother and father-in-laws’ hopes up only to find out I was right. My own research and gut instincts could have saved me from giving to these people. I regret recommending Kim Bruno to people close to me and I hope everyone does their own research before coming to her. I, whole-heartedly, recommend you go elsewhere.
