Kerry was always late. She failed to show up with a meeting for my case. I fired her. She was even late to the withdrawal hearing. The court attorney had to call her. She charged me during appoints with her when I sat there for lengthy periods of time waiting for her to appear. She did not know how to issue subpoenas to State Farm. She withdrew stating that I was not cooperating. That was false. She will not return my files. She said, I have to go to her office to receive the files. When I went to her office, two hours round trip, they were closed. She called me into her office when she had the flu, sitting there in a snuggy and told me not to come close to her. I am filing a statement with the court showing that I fired her, she did not drop me. I and also filing a complaint with the Texas Bar Association.

My wife and I are going through a conflict with other family members in the estate left to us by my mother in law. Kerri and her staff were retained as our legal counsel to assist us through this maze and they have been exceptional and superior. We were blessed to find them and they have been nothing short of a God-send. The staff and Kerri are all extremely professional, compassionate and caring. We highly recommend them.

I met with Kerri Graham to discuss child support legal issues prior to my sons 18th birthday. She was knowledgeable and competent guiding me through each step of the process with the courts. I was very anxious prior to meeting with her and left her office at complete ease. She is kind, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable in every aspect concerning my case. I will recommend her to any person who is needing legal advice. Thank you Mrs. Graham for representing Law with integrity and giving people like me guidance in an unknown world. Bravo!!

We met with Kerri Graham regarding my husband’s child support and divorce decree immediately prior to his son’s eighteenth birthday and graduation. Mrs. Graham is knowledgeable, funny, and kind. She knew all the nuances of the law which were applicable to our case. She was generous with her time, and she helped put two very type A personalities at ease. Her office staff is gracious and accommodating, and they were very helpful when I called them this week to ask a few follow up questions. They quickly set up an appointment for us, and we met with Mrs. Graham who, again, knew exactly what to look for in the law to help us. On the way out, we set an appointment to draft our wills, and while I don’t look forward to that process, I do look forward to working with Mrs. Graham and her associates. I highly recommend Graham & Theander for anyone who is looking for legal counsel with both brains and heart.

BUYER BEWARE: This is a very small firm with incompetent assistants who have no real knowledge of the law. Or if they do, they were trying to extort a consult fee in exchange for a copy of a will. Here is our story: 12/22: Received a call from the grandson of my mom’s best friend who I lovingly called Aunt, letting me know that he had spoken with Haley from Graham & Theander and I had been named as executor to her estate. He said he was told that I could obtain a copy of her will because I was named as the executor but he could not. As I now understand, anyone named in the will can obtain a copy. Anyway, I called and spoke with Melissa and after some back and forth between her and Kerri, I was told that 1.) didn’t need a copy because it was just a copy and would do me no good. And 2.) if I wanted a copy, I would have to make a $275 appointment and come in and consult with Kerri Graham AFTER the new year. At that point, I told Melissa this just didn’t sound right and I would check with my lawyer and get back to her. 12/26: I called and left a message for Kerri Graham to please give me a call about Karen’s will. 12/27: I called and spoke with Melissa again. I requested a copy of the will AGAIN and was AGAIN told I would need to make the $275 appointment and the first appointment was January 5th. I made the appointment but expressed that her grandson was trying to make funeral arrangements and needed the copy of the will because we were fairly certain that the original is in a safety deposit box. Melissa again spoke with Kerri, and I received another call from Melissa telling me that the will was just a copy and would do me no good. At this point, her grandson, who is on leave from the military, began making funeral arrangements without knowing his grandmother’s wishes. 12/28: Feeling somewhat frustrated, I again called Kerri Graham’s office and spoke with Tish. I was told that Melissa was “looking” for the copy of Karen’s will and had not yet been able to locate it. They would let me know when it was located. I told Tish that this was simply unacceptable. I had to explain to her that, as if it were some foreign practice that she’d never heard of, the will likely contained Karen’s wishes for her funeral. Suddenly, she was able to locate an unsigned final draft and read it to me over the phone (without my ID) And, sure enough, while the grandson was working to have his grandmother buried, her wishes were to be cremated. At that point I asked for a copy of the unsigned version, because who knew what else we could be missing. Sadly, I was denied that request. 12/29: I called back requesting an update on the location of the will and was told that it still had not been located. It was at this point that I got angry. I was given the run around for days. Her grandson almost buried his grandmother against her wishes. And Kerri and her staff made their incompetence our problem. I promised my Aunt that I would follow her wishes and make sure this was as easy on her grandson as I could. Not only did Graham and Theander fail us, they held the will hostage for a $275 consult fee. So, after arguing with Tish and Melissa, Kerri called me back with attitude. And while I was angry, and I believe rightly so, I was trying to explain the sequence of events that had occurred and that we almost buried my Aunt. Kerri didn’t care and didn’t want to hear it and it was at that point that she threatened to hang up on me. She finally said they have privacy laws they must follow and “as Tish told me”, I would have to come in provide ID if I wanted a copy of the will (which had been sitting on her desk the entire time). 1.) I was NEVER given that option and 2.) that’s when I jumped in the car and went over there with my ID and picked up a copy of the will. It was THAT simple and something that could have happened a week prior and would have saved us all from a lot of unnecessary stress at an already stressful time.

My husband and I are happy we found Kerri! We were overwhelmed with the passing of a loved one and the idea of going to probate was foreign and scary to us. She walked with us throughout the entire process. We are so grateful to her and her staff!

Kerri Graham provided excellent legal services for me and the estate to which I was named executor. Due to the circumstances of the death of my relative, the estate was complicated. Ms. Graham explained the process in terms I could understand. Her professionalism was the primary reasons we were able to resolve the estate amicably with my relatives, all of whom had tons of questions. She did a great job!

My family and I were faced with the decline of our elderly mother/grandmother. Kerri was as compassionate and understanding as any friend could be. But, at the same time, she expertly guided us through the process of care providers, Medicare and hospice. Throughout the process and at the end, Kerri was there. She is one of the best attorneys ever!

I contacted Kerri regarding an elder law matter. Kerri spent time with me explaining what was happening with my elderly relative, how the hospice system worked, and how to hire our own care providers. She was extremely thorough in providing me directions as to what needed to be done. Kerri has a reassuring and calm manner, spending time listening to my situation and finding the best approach for me. Kerri was clear about what she felt she could accomplish in my case and gave me alternatives. She was very honest and knowledgeable about elder law matters. Kerri truly had my loved one's best interest foremost in her heart. I have the highest opinion of Kerri Graham, both as a lawyer and as a person.
