On January 7, 2010 I received a phone call from a federal agent who advised me I was being investigated, this was my first time in trouble with the United States government. Rather than hiding under the sheets of my bed, I decided to hire the best legal representation I could find to prepare my defense and fight my case. After interviewing some of the "best" and the "top rated" attorneys in the Los Angeles area, I decided on hiring Douglas McNabb as my defense counsel. Trust me, whatever your particular case may be I can assure you that federal laws are complex, sometimes changing and often very confusing to the average person. I knew I needed an experienced attorney who not only knew and understood these complex laws, but most importantly an attorney who would fight for my rights and freedom. Rather than sharing the impressive credentials Douglas McNabb "Doug" has, I would rather like to share with you that as my attorney, Doug was always committed to me on a personal level. Unlike many attorneys, Doug actually treated me as someone who really cared about what happened to me as his client. Doug commanded a great deal of respect from the court and the AUSA which ultimately lead to amazing results in my case. So no matter what type of crime you may be charged with I highly recommend Douglas McNabb and his experienced staff who will fight for you as hard as he fought for me.

I am absolutely convinced I owe much of where I am today to a decision 17 years ago to hire Douglas McNabb. In 1996 I was contacted by the FBI concerning an investigation of my former employer for serious federal crimes. It became quickly obvious that my former employer's defense strategy was to divert blame of the matter onto me and other former employees (mostly me). I reached out to McNabb Associates after I found myself the subject of a federal investigation. I had gotten the run-around from another firm which compounded by feelings of uncertainty. Mr. McNabb, from his very first email response, treated me with respect and solicitude. I finally felt like someone was in control of the situation. His knowledge of the federal process is beyond compare and his demeanor in the courtroom is commanding. But more importantly, for me, the way he balanced his professionalism, confidence, approachability and empathy made this process as manageable as it could be and reduced my anxiety. There could not have been a finer advocate to represent me and my interests.

I should have taken what the prosecution offered to me and I would have gone to a camp and McNabb said the jury would do the "right thing" and he was wrong and I ended up going to "medium security". Thanks Doug,, you really don't know what you are doing when it comes to protecting your clients rights. Your office is impressive and a nice view but this does not make for a good attorney. My mistake. I should have went with my gut instinct and took the prosecutors offer and followed my better judgement. I messed up again and followed Mr. McNabbs direction and suggestion and advice and his experience. Wow, I seem to gravitate to people that are simply not in it for my best interests and Mr. McNabb in his Houston high rise was just another dumb decisions that I have made in my life. May be I will be able to help someone else before they lose their freedom for an unnecessarily longer time and higher security that was not necessary, and lose my money more than what should have been paid out to Doug and considered to be appropriate for my type of case, by choosing Douglas. Doug is Bad News.

He helped my son who found himself in a lot of trouble with the feds. We couldn't have gotten a better result. Thank you!

We were charged a large one time fee. When the trial was two weeks away, he turned and ran leaving us to seek new council at our most dire hour. Our fee charged was in excess of $120,000.00 and when we asked for a refund of the balance, Mr. McNabb offered us a mere $5000.00. We also were required to sign off on any other claim to a monies owed.

This is attorney is very experienced and helped my family a great deal. A++

I was referred to him by a friend who was very complementary of him. I received the same, but don't want to go into details for obvious reasons. A++

He took my money and did not do the job. He lied to me. He puts on a good act, just don't trust this guy. He handles federal cases and will tell you he will win and how "cautiously optimistic" he is, his favorite words. This guy is the worst attorney I have ever retained and I hope everyone does their research before choosing their lawyer. I did not. He told me whatever I wanted to hear just to get my money and I got nothing in return. I may as well have thrown the money in the fire pit because that is what I received from Douglas C. McNabb, a big fat burned up NOTHING, just a lot of hot air.
