Absolutely terrible lawyer. He never came up to give my fiance updates on his case. He claimed that he would go up multiple times and failed to keep his word. He told my fiance that he would take off a few specific charges but decided that it was pointless to so he didn't. He did not tell his client that he changed his mind about it. He is not really trying to do counter offers. Instead he just stands and makes jokes with the da in court. He is an absolute joke. What kind of lawyer does not talk to his client about his case?

After being stopped by police in Kemp TX, ordered out of the vehicle that I was a passenger in to my knees in the middle of the road with a gun pointed at me I watched as the officer and a tow truck driver returned the items in question that were on the back of the truch which belonged driver of the vehicle I was a passenger in, all on the basis of the statement of a woman i had no idea who was, to an abandoned barn on abandoned property in Kemp Texas. I was then taken to jail, stripped searched and held until the next day when I agreed to pay $500 upfront and an additional $500 to in payments. I met with my Court Appointed Public Defender since I was deemed to be indigent. I met in his office once for approximately 20 minutes where we were interrupted twice as I attempted to tell him my truth regarding this whole matter. He suggested that I cop a Plea and take probation. I told him I would not do that because I didn't feel as if I had committed a crime. He said my story sounded unreasonablevand would not stand up in court. I wanted a bench trial anyway. He led me to believe that because I had a misdemeanor case some twelve years earlier that I would most likely be found guilty. I found out later if I didn't take the stand then that case would never be brought up. I gave him my witnesses information. He never once tried to contact them ever. Though I called his office several times over the course of the next 13 months I never once was able to speak with him and he never returned my calls. I had one appointment finally in September of '15 and when I called to confirm it his staff told me I had no appointment. The defendant who's truck I was passenger in had all charges dropped by Dismissal/In the Interest of Justice only a few months later in April '15. My case went on for 13 months because I could/would not morally say I was guilty for something I didn't believe I was guilty of. I was told that my case from 12 years ago which was a misdemeanor would be held against me and I would be found guilty and would do up to 10 years in the state penitentiary. Plus an additional fine of $20,000. I felt I had no choice but to not plead guilty but plead No Contest. Which I did. I still wound up paying in addition to the $1000.00 bond an additional $500.00 fine. The final paper I signed is titled. Judgement of Conviction by Court - Waiver of Jury Trial. There was never any type of help for me. I now have a record that will follow me. I am so very untrusting in our legal system now after this experience.

I had to come and LET everyone know what a great attorney Andrew Jordan is. He has represented me on several occasions. He is very SERIOUS about what he does in the courthouse and GOOD at it too. He TOLD me something about making changes in my life years ago. I listened of coarse I did. In the process I stumbled. But his words stuck in my head. Today I am a changed woman . With a few MORE skeletons to get out my closet. I feel like when your a client. You must be comfortable with the person who has your fate in their hands. His wordbook his bond.
