I've used David Heiman in two different situations. One was for custody/child support when my son's father just stopped showing up to pick up my son when we had joint custody. David got me full custody and a fair amount of child support in less than 5 months. He worked hard and was always available when I needed anything. I used him again two years later when my husband's ex called CPS unwarranted on us when I was 8 months pregnant. CPS called my phone at 6:45am and then had the nerve to write in a report that I sounded like I was on drugs. I had just had a baby and was exhausted! Long story short David saved my family from the vicious claws of CPS and got them to drop their BS case and leave us alone! I am so incredibly thankful for his dedication to our case. He was a tad hard on me but I could tell he was just making sure we were being truthful. Once he believed me he really pushed and fought hard for me. I would definitely recommend him!

This man is a joke. I hired him and he took 6 months to even start a un contested divorce. I could of got full custody of my daughter a long time ago. He draghedbhis feet to another 6 months. Now he had been my lawyer a year with nothing started or finished. I ended up pregnant during the process. He wanted to charge me another 3k in fees and i wanted tempory rights started he said that would be another 1500. A total 5k for what was supposed to only take 6 months. Now 1 and a half years later u hured another attorney and he refused to give me my money back. He is lazy and rude. Amd treats people like they are nothing. The entire time i meet with him hr was on his phone! Do your self a favor and do not hire him

He treats you with the most up most respect , doesn't matter if he is court appointed or not he still treats all his clients the same! With the help of David Heiman i was able to get my children out of cps care! Thank you David you are a caring hard working man! He updates you via email with every detail on your case

Mr. Heiman, was very honest and helpful both times I used him. I would highly recommend him to all of my friends and family. David is very knowledgeable of the Texas family laws and will represent you using his knowledge of the laws, to benefit you. When I got my Divorce I asked him to help me fight for custody of my children and he said that if I couldn’t prove my wife to be an unfit mother, I would probably be wasting my time and money. His advice to me was to start keeping notes, text messages, emails and other documentation to build my case. I did just as he suggested and for 2 years, I kept every bit of evidence against her, to build a custody case, so my two daughters could come live with me. When I thought I had enough evidence, I went back to see David, we went through the evidence and he agreed we had more than enough to take her to court. Long story short we won custody of my 2 small Daughters and was allowed to receive child support and move them out of state. I can’t help but think, I won the custody of my Daughters, because of the advice, help and support that David gave to me, from the first time I met him, right up to the time we won the custody case!!!

Any and all aspects of my child custody case were handled expediently and professionally with David. The outcome of my case, even though Dismissed, was as expected. Great attorney. Great service.

David Heiman is by far the most trustworthy person and attorney in the entire ordeal of going through a divorce. He stepped in several times for me when I needed an advocate for myself and my children. He takes control of the problems quickly and can read an individual at first glance. His response time is very quick, staff very friendly and his humor helped during a hard time to laugh. I highly recommend him. My kids and I are now safe.

David Heiman handled my case for enforcement of child support. He had previously handled my divorce case. He did his homework. There were other factors in consideration at one of the Hearings where Mr. Heiman presented case law in order to get my case transferred to the court of jurisdiction. Mr. Heiman was empathetic and objective in working with me to realistically and properly address my concerns. He didn't just tell me what I wanted to hear. He was able to look at the details of the case from both sides and he gave me great advice that ultimately produced favorable outcomes. The judges ruled in our favor EVERY TIME. Mr. Heiman is intelligent, impressive, compassionate and caring, and can bring out the humorous side of an unpleasant situation. Hire him! He will do no less than his very best to help you through it.

I went through a divorce about 5 years ago. My wife successfully bilked me out of my kids, home, bank accounts etc... David Heiman managed to get about $20,000 of my money while providing NO service. He sent letters. That was about it. I provided him with a constant stream of evidence in the form of cell phone records that my wife was having an affair with my boss. He did nothing. I provided him with medical records that she was self abusive (picked sores on herself). He did nothing. In the final analysis, I found out HER lawyer was HIS apprentice. He just did nothing and took my money and lost me my kids. Don't EVER go to this clown. You will rue the day you did.

I never like to not recommend someone but I do hope he becomes more empathetic toward his clients. He lacked focus and transparency and spent the majority of his time talking about the opposing client with little regard for my welfare. I am still suffering from the outcome. I would like to have faith that he will use this as a learning experience and be more empathetic toward future clients

My husband and I are so happy with our experience with David Heiman and his office staff. I needed to have my daughter's bio father terminate his rights in order for my husband to legally adopt her, and I was terrified. David made the process so easy, and was so sensitive to the delicacy of the process. His secretary did all the "dirty" work for me with talking to her bio father, and went out of her way to facilitate all my concerns (I.E. adding the ability to track all the mail we sent to him, signature upon delivery, etc). We started at the end of the summer, and David said he really wanted to try to have the process done by Christmas, so we could have the burden lifted and spend our first Christmas together as a "legal family". Everything went quickly, and sure enough, the adoption was finalized about a week before Christmas. I was shocked with how NOT stressful the process was. It was seamless. David even dined with our whole family to discuss things we had questions about. Lawyers who are so considerate of a family in a sensitive time are, in my experience, unheard of. I really lucked out stumbling upon his practice by googling lawyers in my area. Thank you so much, David!

David is an outstanding attorney. He was aggressive when he needed to be, supportive in my decision making process, realistic with my options and kept me grounded throughout the modification. He never just told me what he thought I wanted to hear, but shot me straight and outlined every potential possibility in terms that I understood.
