I think he is a great guy. Puts his life on the line to keep you moving forward.!!

WOW, How in the world can he stay in practice, He is Not in any way trying to help clients, Will not ANSWER ANY CALLS, EMAILS, NO WAY TO EVEN LEAVE MESSAGE, AND ITS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR YEARS. How sad that our friends & family's have no choice but to except an attorney who does NOT care, doesn't want to be bothered by people who deserve to be defended. How can an Attorney CHOOSE TO NOT ANSWER, CALLS ,EMAILS. Oh that's right He's a PUBLIC Defender he still gets Paid by the state.

If you get Smith Steven for your court appointed attorney "" As a client of his Accept Christ as your personal Savior""And pray that God moves through Smith Stephen in a mighty way and pray for him daily. He's got a lot of case loads..IN my situation I did 90 days in jail for something I'm not guilty of and even though I had to plead guilty I'm 100% innocent.. God moved through attorney Smith Steven for Christ to get all the glory thank you Mr Smith Stephen for your patience and time as ""God moved through you"' on my behalf.. I'm so very thankful to my father in Heaven Thank you Father God in Heaven for being faithful 🙏 in Jesus name..

worst lying piece of you know what .did not even look at my daughters case until they were in coirt.after telling me the night before she would be out with time served she got 2 years.then told her she should have hired a lawyer.yes we should have hired e real lawyer cause Stephen Smith isn't one.if you get him for court appointed do what ever it takes to hire a real lawyer.

He doesn't care

Contact was sketchy at first. This guy says what he's going to do, and does it. I had him as a court appointed attorney. Couldn't be more satisfied . Brief, straight forward, professional.

It seems this attorney is history repeating itself over and over.....I can't find ANY information about this attorney including a CORRECT phone number and the number the jail gave me I left messages and he WONT return my calls....My son's court date was canceled way before it came around and he's been in jail far too long...If this attorney doesn't like or want to do this job my advice.....find Another line of work as soon as humanly possible because he obviously doesn't care about his clients enough to be the Attorney people deserve...ESPECIALLY MY CHILD......SMH

He will not return phone calls. He never answers his phone. My son has called numerous times as I have. My son had a court date, but it was postponed. We have called him asking for a new court date. He will not respond!! This is a violation of The Rules of Professional Conduct.

Absolute worst business person I've ever had to deal with. He does not answer his phone, does not respond to emails. (I had to get his email from the judge-He certainly doesn't give it to you). He was my son's attorney and he probably didn't see him 5 times in 10 1/2 months. He wouldn't even respond to me if we had a question. You can't leave him a message - he doesn't have a voice mail or answering machine - he does NOT want to be gotten in touch with. I feel he basically doesn't want to be bothered especially if he is court appointed and by the way court appointed attorneys DO get paid. He did not follow through and make sure everything was taken care of and cost us an extra month in jail. He totally dropped the ball and let my son sit in jail an extra month with nothing being done. I wouldn't recommend him to represent your dead dog!!!!! Absolutely horrible respresentation!!

Man knows his stuff..highly recommend...
