If your not paying this guy don't expect a call a text an email back for any matter of importance. He is the exact stereotype of a public defender will do the bear minimum for your case and will only talk to you about your case in person if you have an opportunity to even see him run while you can.

If I could give him negative starts I would 100%. My husband had the worst luck of getting him as his court appointed attorney, because we just weren't making enough to have a personal paid attorney. He does not return phone calls, text messages, or emails. It's like he doesn't listen when we told him about what happened the night that everything started, we have given him more than enough for him to file a motion to discover, and even a motion to dismiss. We will sit in court for almost 2 hours before he even acknowledges us, only to say reset. He has done nothing on any of the offers from the DA, nor made a counter offer. We've been dealing with this since April(first court date) it is now November and I not lying when I say my husband has had maybe 20 minutes of his time, but far from undivided attention. And we watch as more and more people are assigned to him. He is a personal injury attorney, not a criminal attorney. He doesn't care about his clients, their families, or trying to get justice. We watched multiple people come and go in court today, one which was a first degree felony max sentence life, assault of a peace officer and he walked on 7 years deferred adjudication probation, but when it comes down to it he does absolutely nothing to fight for his clients. He laughed in my face today, and asked me what he should do? Follow up with everything we told you, show some sort of initiative on trying to help. I literally hate this man, and feel sorry for anyone who has to have him represent him.

Was very responsive to me while I was in jail and also communicated with my fiance as well during the process, As a court appointed attorney he was very professional and prompt to help get a resolution for my case, Thank You Mr Auguilar!!!

Emailed to ask if information was needed to help speed up my family member's case in which this guy was court appointed. Turned into a something you wouldn't expect from a lawyer, that included telling me to find another lawyer. This guy is rude and unprofessional and has no care for the people he is suppose to represent. You would think with all that education he would act a little more professional, and have some type of pride in what he does.. But all you get is this guy. And unless you have money then he doesn't have the time for you. If you are looking for a lawyer please look else where, even if you do have the money. He's not worth it with that SORRY attitude alone. Trust me if we had the money it would quickly be sent to a far better attorney. We are still waiting for something, anything from this guy as of the date of this review. I would love to give my first name and go into way more detail, but it looks like our first encounter is still being taken out on my family member who has yet to be seen by a judge while waiting in jail for 5 months now. Still looking on a higher up to report this attorney to.

My case was very complex and he found a way to solve it, he used the statute of limitations to help solve my case which other attorneys were never able to solve, he got my case solved in Lubbock, while I was in Egypt. I highly recommend him

When I called for an update, he went on a rant for "getting ahead of yourself" and this was the first time I had called. Very unprofessional and rude.

I called Mr Arthur Aguilar who was no help to begin with. Mr. Aguilar had attitude the whole time i was trying to talk, i asked if he was the lawyer that was gonna take my spouse's case and he said "if you dont have any information for me than im gonna hang up on you" so still with out knowing if hes my spouse's lawyer i tell him a little information to see what he does with it! I gave him places he can call and ask for these people to prove the innocent's of my spose and all he said was "i will put that information in your spouse's file (the one that he never even bothered to look for) for the next lawyer to look at. Its amazing that these lawyers are here to help and they dont help out at all they ( this one in particular) make you feel like your the stupid one for going to them to begin with. Thank goodness theres a place to post these comments cause i sure wouldn't want some one else to go through what i did!
