I came to her with a speeding ticket with very little money to my name. She took it for a very reasonable fee. As I talked to her I knew she was knowledgeable. Very smart attorney. My case is on going. But I have faith in her.

When looking for a lawyer to represent my son in his divorce & child custody, everyone else acted like they would not be able to help him due to fact he had a disability however; upon calling Mrs. Carpenter's office they were confident that they could help him & they did. Everything was resolved at the time. After time had passed & the other parent at that time was not following court orders, Mrs. Carpenter once again took on the case & this time my son won full custody w/the amicus involved as well. The first court hearing Mrs. Carpenter was paid in full except for a couple hundred that she said she would write off not to worry about it, and the second go round some of the fee's were paid however; Mrs. Carpenter knew of the financial hardship & she did not push the issue. Yes there were times when we did not receive call backs, or somethings took longer than we felt should have but in the end, Mrs. Carpenter was very professional, understanding & always willing to assist.

I was in an abusive relationship and short on funds, so my family attempted to help me find a lawyer when my ex-husband unexpectedly served me with divorce papers 6 months after walking out leaving me with a 3 year old, two sweatsuits, and access to less than $7 in a joint bank account. Not only did Ms. Carpenter often fail to follow up on telephone calls, appointments, and communication with the court-appointed amicus attorney, she failed to file a requested change of venue and basically, I ended up doing a huge amount of legal research and argument in mediation myself despite a severe lack of experience. It has been several years since I employed this attorney, and I changed attorneys as soon as I became aware I could. Initially, I wasn't aware I could change attorneys or I would have changed during the divorce proceedings. In the years since, we have seen several occasions in court for other clients where Ms. Carpenter has failed to appear, so I would assume this is an ongoing issue.

Mrs. Carpenter. How do i even begin to write a review. I came to her in crisis facing an uphill battle in a small town where I had zero family or support system. Her compassionate demeanor and her expertise helped to prepare me for a tough battle. Mrs. Carpenter was able to help relax emotionally and prepare for a very heated family law case. Through empathy, perseverance, and respect for her client and the Panola County judicial system Mrs. Carpenter was able to assist me with maintaining primary physical custody of our son as well as fight a geographical restriction. Her compassion, empathy and respect helped me to face the biggest challenge in my adult life. I am extremely grateful to her for her hard work. She is probably one of the hardest working attorneys in Harrison/Panola county and that in itself is the reassurane you will need to know that she will not only fight hard for you, but your emotional and financial interests as well. Thanks Tamara & Mrs. Carpenter!
