Melody was the shining beacon of hope for me from the moment she returned my call. From day 1 she made me feel valued and understood. Throughout the process she kept me up to date and communicated with me regularly. She quickly responded to e-mails, texts and phone calls and always provided useful advice. Billing was fair and there were never any surprises. She did an exceptional job setting expectations and helping me understand everything. At mediation and behind the scenes throughout this process she advocated for me and my son professionally and persuasively. I honestly don't think I could have had a better lawyer for this difficult time in my life. Cannot say enough good things about her!

Ill prepared, argued with a judge, spent time in court on her phone trying to have a paralegal pull information she did not do. Not impressed with how she presented herself via email or in court. Simply Awful. Do not hire.

I had contacted Melody Petit at O'Neil Wysocki law firm about a year ago regarding my divorce case. I had filed for divorce and withdrew my I-130 petition to sponsor my ex for adjustment of status to permanent residency in the United States. As a result, in efforts to either save the marriage (to gain permanent residency in the US) or take revenge (for me withdrawing her petition), I was dragged into court by my ex with false accusations of domestic violence. If domestic violence would have been proven in court by the opposing counsel, then immigration benefits could have been granted to my ex, who had previously received a deportation letter from USCIS. With Melody's hard work and dedication, along with my full cooperation, the false accusations were actually proven to be false in court. In fact, I didn’t even have to pay any kind of alimony or attorney fee’s requested by the opposing counsel. I just received my final divorce decree, all thanks to Melody! She believed in me from the very beginning, which is important to build a strong case, and fought rigorously amidst the ever growing challenges. She knew that I couldn't hurt anyone and exactly why I was being dragged into court. I was continuously updated on the status of my case, and was given honest feedback throughout it’s’ duration. At the same time, I was also comforted during these difficult times. Because she knew I was right all along, she fought for me for so long, with everything she had got. After having our already extremely complex custody case lost by our previous attorney, My husband hired Ms. Petitt. She worked diligently to unravel the mess we had been through.
