Almost a year ago, I was in a situation no one wants to be in. I had to find a lawyer to defend me. I had to put my life in someone else’s hands. Aaron came to represent me through blind luck as I had requested a court appointed attorney. In the months leading to my initial hearing I was extremely concerned at the quality of counselor who was assigned to me - and I inundated their receptionist with questions to help me get a better understanding of Aaron's appetude. Expecting an unkempt, bumbling, awkward, clumsy, absent-minded man in a suit two sizes too big - my attention was captured by a tall, fiercely bearded, powerfully present, charismatic, handsome Viking of a man - I thought to myself "I wonder who that dude is here for..." Then he looked up, scanned the congregation of defendants sitting anxiously behind the prosecutors - and made eye contact with me, confirming with a nod "Josiah?" I was shocked. Jackpot. I often feel as if I am anything but lucky. Moments like that force me to reconsider my fortunes. It's hard for me to effectively articulate & convey to you how relieved I was in that moment. ( I had previously had a court appointed attorney at 18, and the misrepresentation of law and false information related to me led me to a plea that has haunted me since and I regret to this day.) Aaron is competent, capable, has a positive rapport and working relationship with the state that seems built out of mutual respect and admiration. Absolutely the best criminal defense attorney! The entire staff is knowledgeable, professional, and extremely helpful. Nothing prepares you for when you receive a phone call that your child has been arrested. There is an overwhelming feeling of fear, guilt, and helplessness. Fortunately, I called the Seymour Law Office. I live in the DFW area so I couldn’t be in the area. The team was so accommodating in helping to get my son's affairs in order, like securing his car.
