I had never been in trouble. I was beeing charged with Robbery with Bodily injury. I was at walmart and was accused of stealing a cd. Loss prevention grabbd my face and I slappd her hand away. Ms. Beck told me I waslooking at 4 years in prison. I was extremely scared I had never been in trouble besides traffic warrants. I had a 5 yr old son at the time, that I just wanted to go home and be with. She told me if I wrote a statement saying that I planned to go to Walmart and steal a cd, if I lied and took fault they would let me go home the next day. So I did, I lied and wrote the statement. I just wanted to be with my little boy. The judge ask me if anyone made me take guilt or coheared me into it, i said "no". I should have told the judge right then and there. But unfortunately I didn't and Im paying for this everday, because now Im a covicted felone.

I hired Ms. Beck based on a referral from another Attorney to represent me in a Domestic Family matter. Ms. Beck was extremely professional, knowledgable and on point with her defense strategy. Ms. Beck was at Court at all times and was a shark in her defense of me. She knew her stuff and was well respected by her colleagues and others within her professional arena. She was difficult to get in touch with at times, but I came to realize I was not her only client. I would recommend Ms. Beck as your defense Attorney if you want someone on your side in the corrupt criminal system of Texas.

Referred to me by a friend. Not responsive never called back right away. Typically took her about 2 days. Never kept her word on what she was going to do. Did not remember conversations we previously had. Would not recommend her to anyone else. When you are faced with legal problems, during the process having confidence in your attorney helps ease the worry of the situation. This was not the case with my encounter with Ms Beck. Unlike the other client. I was able to pick this up early on and seek new counsel.

I was charged with Felony Deadly Conduct of Discharging a Firearm.. I did a rigorous search for an attorney throughout the Houston area. This was the first time I had ever been faced with such a serious charge. I wanted to find an attorney who I felt confident that would take my case seriously, and truly looked at it through my eyes. Ms Beck took my case immediately, and informed me of my best options. She recommended submitting the case to the Grand Jury for a no-bill. As her experience would have it, that's exactly what happened.. "NO-BILLED".. I Highly recommend Ms Beck.. Very fair prices as well!!

Ms. Beck was recommended to me by one of her former clients. I spoke with other lawyers and previous clients and she had an outstanding representation as a criminal defense attorney. When I met with her she was professional, informative and put me at ease without making unreasonable promises about the outcome of my case. The fee she quoted me was extremely reasonable. She appeared at all of my court settings, responded in a timely fashion to my phone calls and secured a fair resolution to my case. I am extremely appreciative of the representation she provided me and I would definitely recommend her to everyone!

I was referred to Ms. Beck through a friend because I was accused of a white collar felony. Ms. Beck did a good job of keeping me advised that though this was my first offense, prison was a possibility. However, she also gave me hope that based on my lack of a criminal record, probation was possible as well. I did receive probabtion and was quite pleased with that. However, my pleasure was short-lived because Ms. Beck also promised to negotiate my restitution amount with the district attorney.
Once I received the deferred adjudication, the restitution amount was still up in the air. Despite several phone calls to Ms. Beck, she rarely called me back, blowing me off with one excuse or another. Things went on like this for over a year and a half until I finally called her and left her a message asking if she were still representing me in the case, or if I had misunderstood something? This was the ONLY phone call to which she promptly replied. Her response was unprofessional, to say the least. She told me that she was very busy and just because she didn't respond right away didn't mean she wasn't working on the case. She also told me that I was free to find another lawyer if I was not satisfied with the job she had done, I was free to find another attorney. She also told me she felt as though she were underappreciated for what she was able to get done. I found this incredibly rude and confusing because it is not as if she took on my case pro bono. I paid her and she said that for the fee that she was piad, she would see my case through to the negotiation of restitution, which still hasn't happened, so I'm not sure why I am expected to being overjoyed at only getting a portion of what I had paid for. Plainly put, once the judge bangs his gavel, never expect to hear from this attorney again.
