It looks like some of the bad reviews are posted by the same person who wasn't a client. I have used this attorney before and do not have any negative comments about him. He got the job done and was very reasonable on price and responsive.

I am now in the process of using Mr. Giries services for a second time since I was very satisfied with his help for my original Child Support needs. He returned all calls, explained everything in detail, worked out a plan and went over all items with me, so there was no surprise when we went to court. He was able to complete all items he outlined to me and was very fair on pricing in comparison to many other attorneys I contacted. Mr. Giries even took the time to drive me around since I needed a ride and was very helpful until all items were completed. I am using his services again and he has been just as helpful this time as he was before. The pandemic hasn't slowed him down at all and his professionalism and ethics is key to the reason I will suggest anyone to use his services.

He could not even get my name correct, he had my name wrong on two drafts of my divorce papers, then he misspelled my name. I sent to him multiple times in an email and I finally had to send him a copy of my DL so he could get it. He has the nerve to say I would not agree or sign, seriously, I would think my name needs to be correct on a legal document such as divorce papers, I would hate to find out ten years later and find out I am not divorced because the attorney used the wrong name

We hired Mr. Giries to do a simple child support modification, who assured us it would be a simple and fairly easy process, especially since I had done most of the leg work myself (I drafted the petition to modify, filled out all of the paperwork, Bullet pointed what we wanted modified, etc.) 13 months later, after 5 months of no contact from Mr. Giries, we find out our case was over, he agreed to things in the modification that did not have my boyfriends consent, and he kept asking for money when he did finally call back. He never informed us of hearing dates, and told us if we wanted to know what happened at the hearing, we can order the transcript from the court reporter. If this isnt MALPRACTICE, I dont know what is, but a bar complaint or grievance is in the works, as we are now ordered by the court to pay more than what we initially were, and my boyfriend makes less than what he did, which was the whole purpose of doing a modification. If you are looking for a good attorney, PLEASE DO NOT HIRE MR. GIRIES. He will never call you back. He will take your money. And he wont let you know about your case until its closed!
