I was charged with a DWI. While I was going to accept the plea offer, Doug advised me to take my case to trial as I had a great case to fight. Doug was able to get the DWI charge reduced to an obstruction of passageway the day before trial. I felt like Doug was honest and realistic from the start. His skills an an attorney are top notch and I trusted him with my case. As a 24 year old, it's extremely relieving to know that the rest of my life won't be impacted by a mistake I made when I was 22 years old. I fell asleep in a Whataburger drive thru after a night out with friends. I was charged with a DWI and needed an attorney. I found Mr. Wilder through his great reviews as a top DWI attorney. Mr. Wilder and his team got me reduced from a Class A misdemeanor to a Class B with a Deferred Offer. Meaning this doesn’t have to be on my record permanently. Before hiring the Wilder Law Firm I hired another attorney and had inadequate representation to put it nicely for my DWI charge. Due to Covid my case felt like it went on forever but the team was able to negotiate a much better outcome. Although my charge stayed at a class B misdemeanor, it was dropped from a DWI to an Obstruction of a Highway. I honestly believe they tried everything they could for me and my case. I’m thankful for the results they were able to deliver-- I received only 6 months deferred probation, unsupervised, and an opportunity to seal record after 2 1/2 years! I can now put this behind me.
